Hi everyone! Welcome to the 30 Day Squat Challenge. What I'd like for everyone to do is tell us a bit about yourself. 'What are your fitness goals? How are you feeling about the challenge? Are you a exersize newbie or an exersize veteran?' Let us know! We look forward to begining our 30 Day Squat Challenge with all of you!

I am new to exercise, lost some weight recently but struggling to lose the last 12 lbs. I had to stop running (really, a very slow jog) recently due to knee pain which is caused by muscle weakness, so could really use some more exercises that strengthen my quads, specifically my vastus medialus muscle. I hate group exercise and will never join aerobics, zumba, or any such ilk.
As this is my first challenge, I don't know what I feel about it. I hope I finish? I hope I don't look like an idiot?
My fitness goals are to look toned, be strong, and to stop being in pain when I run. I run because otherwise I can't eat much. I like to eat.Hi everyone! Welcome to the 30 Day Squat Challenge. This is my first challenge here. Silly question...So are we supposed to wait until Oct to start? I have been a member of mfp for a few years but never really got into it until now. I am really starting to enjoy it. I have been doing a couch to 5k program since Dec. of last year and would like to incorporate other things and thought I would give this a shot. Good luck to you all.0

Hi, I'm not really new to exercise, just getting reaquainted with it. LOL I keep telling myself...tomorrow, well, it's tomorrow, and I'm ready to make a change. I know I can do this because I've done it before, but I'd rather have fun this time and make a few friends along the way. Good luck to everyone!!!0

I am back but not ready for that may squats at one time. Can I do like I am with crunches, breaking them into increments for abit?0 -

Hello, I do some exercising. However, looking to get more by getting involved. One of my exercise instructors is very fond of squatting. I am not sure I yet appreciate it so thought a challenge would be a way to get me more excited about squatting.:laugh:0

I'm getting back into things. I was really into it and exercised 30-90 minutes every day. Then, I stopped altogether. So now I'm starting from the beginning and work my way back into having some stamina. Hoping this will help too. I will be a week behind everyone else. I think when I first joined the group it had Oct. 1 as the start date. Or at least that's what I thought. Now it has Sept. 1. So I am waiting for the weekend to start on Saturday. I don't have internet at home any more so I can't check in every day but should be able to a couple times a week on breaks at work.0
