I think the confusion comes from the fact that our weeks start on Monday and end on Sunday. So 9/1 is week 1, and 9/4, 9/6, and 9/7 are week 2. I fixed for you -- you have 5.5 for Week 1 and 26.1 for Week 2

    Week 2: 46.2

On Friday and Saturday I participated in the Blue Ridge Relay -- fantastic experience, starting in Virginia and going 208 miles, nonstop through the night, on backroads to Asheville, North Carolina. We had a 12-person team, 6 men and 6 women, each running 3 legs for a total of 36. My legs were 5.6, 4.5, and 6.5 miles. The last leg included a 1,400-foot climb. Our team was ahead with the second-place team just minutes behind, and their runner for this leg was 12 years younger than me! I managed to hold him off and be a small part of the reason our team won -- the first-place mixed team in the entire event! An unforgettable day (and night), the first road race I've ever won.

dave- congrats on the great race! way to destroy that younger runner!

9/8- i am not getting the miles in at all lately, but i still feel like i'm ready for my marathon in october as long as i can keep injury out of the picture... overtraining is certainly not going to be an issue if i keep getting sick like this.

    13.2 miles

Is it too late to join for September?? Sorry I've dropped off the grid. Marathon training, work and college football have left me with practically zero "sit at the compter" time. With my marathon on Sept 21st I don't know how much running I'll do the remainder of the month. I'd like to be put down for 75.

    September so far: 23.73

Not at all -- you can just enter your info on the spreadsheet yourself. You don't have to enter every single day if you don't want to -- just add your name, goal, and put the total on today's date. Here's the link:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkmK3myW0PepdF9PUUhKTE1vRHJ0OWU4R3hJdzhvdmc&usp=sharing

[and now I see you've already done this! Great!]
