Iv been not happy since the birth of my 10month old and Im finally going to the drs in a few days to try to sort it out and get happy again. With my first child I was fine, would workout an hour a day everyday, walk everyday and eat my goal calories and be fine, now I workout, eat way too much then feel awful and everything is bad again. I feel so mad at myself today as I was supposed to start again for the hundredth time! Any tips on coping and trying not to binge? Im trying but when I get upset and down I eat too much of anything!

First of all, if you suspect you may have clinical depression, your dr would be able to give you the right guidance.
So, I hope you will be able to have that part sorted out as a baseline.

As for the cycle, you are so NOT alone!! I have "recovered" from bulimia for 20 years but binging is still in my DNA....and i just had a relapse (have not had one for years). So I can tell you that this vicious cycle is normal.

What I find helps a lot
    - do not try to control it. In fact, the root of eating disorder is about control
    - instead, just think "U turn". Like, oh well, binged, too bad, don't dwell on it, don't even make big plans to "amend"....just go on doing your usual healty eating and exercising.
    - do not starve
    - no food is taboo. If you are yearning for a donut, have it. Enjoy it. Then try to track and eat less in other meals. I am NOT saying that you should eat unhealthy stuff; I am just saying that any kind of repression (bad food vs good food) will set you back into binging easily.

I hope some of these tips may work for you.
