Read this on facebook "Why The Paleo Diet Is All Wrong"

I had to giggle after reading this. Yes, our food sources have changed, but not our biology. And of course they didn't live as long as I will because I don't have a dinosaur chasing my *kitten* and we have better medical advances than they did.
I love how people write stuff without really doing their research first!!!!!!

I love it best when someone says it directly to my face. Then I ask them to take their shirt off - show me their bloodwork - or join me in a crossfit WOD.
Instead, at best they can show me their list of prescription medications. lol.0 -
Such a lame blog. People get their panties in a bunch about a lot of stuff. I don't eat strict Paleo, but I do not understand why me not eating grains bothers people. I have a friend who basically attacked me for it.
Ah well, I'm enjoying the loss of 12 lbs and the leaner less bloated me, so whatevs.0 -
Oh, and I'd totally eat insects.0

Whether we like or not we do eat bugs on a daily basis!!!! They are in the food we consume and in the air we breath and etc, etc, etc!!!!!!!0 -
When someone asks if I go out and hunt my own food...I ask them do you go and process and package your food?? ....hehehehe0

Please don't say they were "chased by dinosaurs." It kills your argument even faster. A better example would be that they didn't have access to many of the modern advances (antibiotics, shelter, unlimited clean water, etc.) and yes, they did have to deal with predators (not to mention they could get killed while hunting larger animals).0

Please don't say they were "chased by dinosaurs......"
That part was a joke!!! But the point being was that they were definitely living in harsher conditions than us!!!!0 -

OK, where I live we get chased, and eaten, by bears. We also fall through the sea ice or get lost in storms. Better? lol
The point is that the most common argument against this lifestyle is usually that hunter/gatherers died young. Death rate among babies and children skews the average, but if they made it to adulthood, they had a good chance of living quite a long life. Barring, of course, injuries, natural disasters, and predation which again was common enough to reduce the average lifespan. (Honestly, the human need to create averages out of everything is just strange and meaningless.)
That most people make the leap from "died young" to the conclusion that the only factor must be that their diet was inferior is beyond ridiculous. Completely illogical imo. If hunter/gatherer diets were at all unhealthy they would have died off. Completely. We would not be here.0 -

I have a hardcore vegan friend with whom I have food discussions all the time. She is so adamantly against my preffered way of eating and refuses to budge. She works out 2-3 hours a day but is still skinny fat. This time last year we both had failing joints, arthritis that hindered our daily life, allergies, and were over weight. She also has all sorts of intolerances to food and has been on antibiotics at least 4 times just this year. I have been following an 80/20 primal/WAPF diet for 3 1/2 months and I barely have joint pain any more, the arthritis in my hands never bothers me (I can open jars again!), my muscle definition is getting better every day, as long as I stay away from flour/gluten grains I rarely have any tummy issues, this is the first year that I have not had any issues with allergies at all, and I generally have more energy and stamina. Let me think, who's diet/lifestyle is healthier? Don't feed me any low-fat whole-grain bull****, meat, veggies, and FAT all the way baby, bring on that bacon
