Leg Ext 12 x 3 x 15kgs
Leg Curl 12 x 3 x 7kgs
Stand Calf 12 x 3 x 15kgs

Crunches 12 x 3
Have a great day and a fantastic workout!
Enjoy your rest day tomorrow!

Awesome workout!!
It turns out I've got a bit of inflammation in my back and my wrists.. So I'm taking it slow.. Trying to keep fit by doing a bit of "hill running" and just staying with basic leg lifts and things that only use my body weight (doctors’ orders)
Apparently it shouldn't take too long to clear but I'm getting the feeling your that going to be super woman by that time
Keep up the great work.. It's really inspiring :flowerforyou:0 -
yay I made it to barbell squats today too!
5mins incline walk warm up (felt lazy)
leg extension: 3x9x25kg
leg curls: 3x10x25kg
hip adduction and abduction: 3x8x34kg
squats 3x10x10kg
sl dead lifts 3x8x15kg
standing calf raises 3x12x10kg would have been more but someone was hogging the bigger dumbells!
3x8 laying leg raises
3x10 crunches
5 mins HITT on bike then done!
Feel much better today but had a good early night, starting to believe all that gumph about 8 hours now......
Have a good day girls :-)0 -
Morning all
Marise I hope you are fit and raring to go in no time.
Charissa I agree morning workouts are so much better.
I did mine today with an already very stiff back due to trying to get a bike out from under my stairs on Sunday (it didn't happen!)
Today I did 12 reps of everything, I really am concerned about not having the right equipment for the lower body stuff, I am super keen to get to the gym and so seriously looking at the budget to see if it's a possibility by the end of this month.
I am planning a good walk just now maybe after lunch, the sun is shining again today in Cape Town yay me!
Have a great day everyone

Glad you found out what is up with your body and you are taking it slow
Dont worry you will be ready and back into it in no time.yay I made it to barbell squats today too!

Yay for barbell squats, its actually incredible how much my strength has changed in the last week! Yippeeee
And getting the 8 hours in, I totally agree with this! Ive noticed I have more energy during the day but if I dont get a decent nights sleep I feel crappy.Today I did 12 reps of everything, I really am concerned about not having the right equipment for the lower body stuff, I am super keen to get to the gym and so seriously looking at the budget to see if it's a possibility by the end of this month.
I am so thankful I got my boyfriends equipment (barbells) I also underestimated the amount of work these moves would need, and the moving up on the weights... A gym membership would be so awesome, but that aint gonna happen for me. I bought myself the new set of dumbells, but at this rate I will move out of them quite quickly, wish I had gone for the adjustable dumbells, it was a prices difference of like R200, but would have been more appropriate and would have lasted me a bit longer.. Ah well. Should have would have could have. That's on my wish list0 -
Morning, Girls (or good afternoon, now, yes? )
Woke up with a crazy sinus headache this morning, so stayed in bed a couple extra hours. Granted, I missed my HIIT, my morning walk around the campus, and the first 45 minutes of my work day, but I showed up and while not feeling terrific, I'll be able to get all of my first of the month junk done.
You guys are going leaps and bounds! Marise, I hope your inflammation clears up quickly. Always best to listen to the doctor! :flowerforyou:
Charissa, I am running out of dumbbell! I've been doing the seated tri-extensions and increasing the weights on my dumbbell bar, but dang! I went to 20# yesterday, and talk about AWKWARD...the four 5 pound plates are kind of large-ish, and I kept worrying that I was going to knock myself in the head.
I think it's interesting that you guys are seeing the strength gains that you are...because I'm seeing the same thing! Like, last week when I did my squats, I felt my hamstrings actually HELP me with the lifts, and that's a new thing for me, which is odd, given I've been squatting since mid-February. I am REALLY loving this program. Apparently, my husband is, too, as he's suddenly having a hard time keeping his hands off me.
I am hoping I'll feel better enough this afternoon to do my lower-A, because it's my favorite of the two lower body workouts.
Ok, off to work I go.0 -
Yes its pretty late afternoon in South Africa now
 at the large dumbell looming on top of your head!I am REALLY loving this program. Apparently, my husband is, too, as he's suddenly having a hard time keeping his hands off me.
THIS! Right! Right! Makes it all worth it. My boyfriend is also a lot more touchy feely, he keeps saying I just feel different. Lol.
Just you wait and see buddy.
Have a good day at the office!0 -
you guys crack me up! lol..
You're all doing so good, I hope you're going to post progress pics on here at the end of this week, would love to see how we've all changed.0 -
Ooooh, yes! Progress pics! I took my biceps and mid-section pics the night before we started and I can't wait to replicate them this Sunday night.
FINALLY this headache is easing up...Only took all day, LOL...but this is good. Better late than never. I'm outta here in a couple of hours and will go play with the iron. :bigsmile:0 -
I blew it. I couldn’t get more than one set of squats out before I fell out. My legs aren’t cooperating and I could barely keep the freaking bar on my shoulder.
I’ll try again tomorrow afternoon. Apparently TODAY is my freaking rest day. :explode: :mad:0 -
Oh no don't worry Julie I'm sure it'll be fine Today (wed) our bodies get to decide when they want to work out!
Hope you all have a lovely day. Super sunny here in CT again so very happy :happy:0 -
Ah sorry to hear that Julie.
I think we all need to remember that rest is the most important thing our bodies need too.
Push yourself to a point, but give your body rest too!
Hope you all having a good day.
I cant wait for photo before and afters! Wish I had worn a bit tighter clothes in my before pic now that I look at it lol.0 -
Thanks, you two. I have NEVER had a problem like that before...It was crazy!
So I'm planning on eating well today and getting in there to knock it out after work.0 -
Fantastic!
You go get em!0 -
Ok…climbed 21 flights of stairs at work (granted, not all at the same time) and:
Squat (85#) 3x11
DL (105#) 3x9
Leg Curls (40#) 3x10
Leg Ext. (65#) 3x8 (ow! after all those stairs? LOL)
Standing Calf Raise (20#) 6x12 (3 ea. side)
Reverse Crunch 3x15
Swiss Ball Crunch (10# plate on chest) 3x15.
Yeah, I feel better! Bring on the food!
See you guys on Upper B day!
So looking forward to lower reps and heavier weights. And pictures. Lots of progress pictures! :glasses:0
