Hey all. I finished my first week. Feeling really fat and freaking out that i am just gonna end up gaining back the 6 lbs i lost on the low cal diet and then some. I know everyone says to be patient and trust the process, but this is really really scary.
what if i estimated wrong and I am eating way too much or exercising too little. My brain is screaming at me to "cut back, cut back" and to exercise and work out a lot more but I am trying to follow everyones advice and hold tight.

Sorry to ramble, I guess i am looking for reassurance. My diary is open and I welcome feedback.
I also used Heybales spreadsheet which I am posting as well if anyone would like to see it and give feedback,
Thank so much in advace for your kindness and support here!!!

Welcome to the "freaking out" portion of EM2WL!! We all have it. It's normal....because everything we have ever been told is: "calories in calories out"..."work out more, lose more"....we have been trained to think this way, and it doesn't go away just because we are changing the course of our own thinking. So yes...this too is part of the process. 6 lbs is just 6 lbs. Healthy is the goal, right?

I looked at your spreadsheet--the first thing I noticed is that your BMR is listed at 45.4%....I am guessing you didn't change that yet??

Everything else looks pretty good....and honestly just enjoy eating the food! Just tell your head to shut up for a bit!

Thanks, Connie. This is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I really thought, "Oh, I love to eat, this is going to be easy" but this is a lifelong pattern like telling me I shouldn't be breathing oxygen anymore.
I appreciate you looking at my stats! did you mean my body fat at 45%?
Its so confusing, one things says to put 1419 as my net calories, which cannot be right? Then on the MFP tweak page, it says 1921?!?

Take a deep breath-things will be alright.
I remember that feeling all too well, and I know how scary it can be.
Yes, you might be gaining back the weight, but you have to have the bigger picture in mind.
Giving your body enough food and nutrients are vital for a long term success.
Eventually you will look back and smile about it all.
Believe me it really is worth the pain in the beginning.
    Stay strong!

Yep, you used the example BF% that was already there. You did measurements in the BF calc, there is an average 32% given, put that in the cell.
I didn't do it automatically, because many have a more serious test done, or they take that calc avg, along with a scale reading, and average all of them.
So manually correct the cell for BF to 32%.

Stay on the Simple Setup tab if you have a workout routine that is anywhere near steady - learn to eat correctly first, same amount daily.

MFP Tweak tab is if your workouts are so variable or iffy as to be useless trying to plan like that. Or like me, couple big days can't be done averaged out over the whole week, I need to eat more on my big burn days.

And yes, it says to change the Net eating goal - because that's the name of the field to change. If I called it Gross because that's really the way it's being treated, wouldn't that have been confusing too?

Read everything under Your Results and understand what is being done with those calories.

Of course your BMR, TDEE, and TDEG just went up with correction to BF%.

    Heybales,
    You are the best!!!
That makes so much more sense now....DUH! I changed it and now everything jives!
Noor- thank you for your support too.
I am feeling really good today and loving feeling full!!
Funny how basically starving yourself makes you so dang cranky. My mood is so much better just after 8 days of this.

This community is really one of the best I have ever participated in, everyone is so positive all the time.
    Looking forward to this journey!
