Focus T25 Beta Week 2 Day 1 : Dynamic Core

After I did my T25 , I did 4 sets of 20 squats with a 5lb dumbbell in each hand, then did the T25 Cooldown :)

Good morning! Squats this morning and Zumba tonight. My weekly weight loss has really slowed down over the last few weeks. I'm losing about 1 lb per week but I would like to see about 2lbs per week for the next two weeks (I have the cruise on the 24th). I have revised my workout routine but I haven't figured out what to change in my diet. Maybe more protein? Any thoughts?

Good Morning and Happy day 43!! I busted open the gamma workouts and did the Gamma Pyramid workout. I actually liked it because of being able to use the weights. I was supposed to do speed 3.0 but wasn't sure how I would do since this is only the second week back after having my surgery. I think the gamma phase is going to be nice, because after looking at the dvd's you're using weights and strengthening in this phase. It's been awhile since I've really done any strength training so I'm going to need this. Keep up the great work everyone. Have a great Monday.

Tanyab1990-I think in order to lose more than 1 pound a week you will need to make a few adjustments, which you said you already are doing. I'm not sure what you have it set at but I would just recommend eating more fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and staying away from processed foods and refined sugars as much as possible. I don't know what your water intake is, but if you're not getting enough I would definitely increase the water. Personally, I've had more success just staying away from the processed foods as much as possible, and eating a "clean" diet. This type of eating has pushed me past my plateau, and maybe since you're changing up your workout routine that will also help. Good luck. Hope this helped. Have a great day.

Thanks, Lisa. I am a clean eater already but I could always see about making more adjustments. Very little, if any, processed foods here. I made that change earlier this year and it has made a huge difference in controlling cravings and staying on track. I think I need to increase my veggie and lean protein intake while ratcheting back my fruit intake. I already have a hard time eating my 1200 calories per day so the extra protein might help with that.

Happy Day 43! Well my plans to go to the gym at work today were foiled by a sick child. I'm going to have to figure out how to be creative in my workout today. My county is currently under a tornado watch (we never get tornados) until 5pm then we are supposed to get hit with some heavy rains. So I think walking outside is out for today. But...I came home from work early, put my workout clothes on so I'll be ready for whatever I decide to do!
