Hi ladies! I am new to this group and want to share my story. I started back on MFP 3 weeks ago today. I have logged everything and have successfully lost around 10 lbs. I know this sounds great but I know this is going to slow down soon if it hasn't already. I originally had a goal to lose about 15 more before Thanksgiving but after everything I read, I think this is unrealistic and unhealthy so I am rethinking my plan.
In the last three weeks, my net calories were averaging below 1000 and I decided that although this was resulting in some good results on the scale, it probably isn't good for me. So I made an appt. with a dietician on Thursday to review my plan and come up with a new one. The probably is...anytime that I seem to get close to going over 1000 calories (net), gain a pound or two. This makes me nervous. That is why I need to see a dietician and figure out how to eat healthy and still lose weight.
I am 52, 5'6" and fairly active. I have not had menopause yet but I am probably getting close?!? I need to lose about 20 lbs to get to a decent weight...25 lbs to get to the weight recommended for my height.
Anyone in the same boat? I would love to hear what works for you!

I will be very eager to hear what your dietitian says! And welcome to our group--it's a great group of women and very supportive.0

Welcome to the group. I joined this group earlier in the year and found a lot of support and friendship. A dietician sounds like a great idea. Please keep us informed of your journey, I am interested in learning more about your approach to weight loss after your meeting.0
