What's the scariest horror book you have ever read? One that doesn't let you put it down but makes you scared to turn the page??

    Not really a horror fan but the val macdermit's psyco thrillers recommended by my friends who like that kind of thing

    THE STAND
    IT (you'll never feel comfortable around clowns again! lol)

    By the way, a sequel to THE STAND is coming out in the fall.

    I agree about "IT" ........ the book was totally creepy ......

    And also "PET SEMETARY" ..... which I still haven't finished :laugh:

    Besides the obvious Stephen King choices, which can still scare the crap out of me, Amityville Horror is the scariest book I've ever read...but I read it in 8th grade.

    I agree with the poster above in that We Need To Talk About Kevin was really disturbing and frightening. The movie really did it no justice (as usual).
