bumping today's thread
Still not feeling well, but nose is less leaky than yesterday. Will have to see what the day brings and check back in later.
Have a great Sunday!0 -
Sherry today's saying is very true & it applies to your cold too. Tomorrow can only be better.
Today is a rest day for me & grocery shopping since DH had to work yesterday. I will be stalking up on cranberries while they are available. They freeze well & can be substituted for other fruit in recipes. BTW, 1 tsp (5 ml) of Stevia equals 1 cup (250 ml) of sugar & Stevia has no calories. I make my cranberry sauce with it.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.0 -
Well, on top of being sick and sitting around doing nothing today, I'm an irritable mess (I think those things could all be related though). I'd rather have the cold any day of the week, than to feel so irritable and moody. Needless to say, I got no workout done today and will be playing catch-up again this coming week. Tomorrow is a busy day with the first parent-teacher meeting of the year after school, the usual lessons for my son, plus a casting for him. I also got behind on helping him with his exercises, so I'm going to have LOTS of catching up to do this week. The sooner I can snap out of this moody funk, the better.
But Donna, you are so right and thank you for bringing today's image back to my awareness. TOMORROW IS A NEW, FRESH, GLORIOUS DAY! Thank you friend! I hope you and your husband can enjoy some time together before work calls him away again.0 -
Boo to the cold hanging on! Also boo to feeling irritable. I totally believe the two are connected.
A couple of weeks ago I was really moody - just down & actually weepy. It was hormonal, but knowing that didn't make me feel like any less of an emotional wreck. I realized that I used to feel like that pretty regularly but hadn't been that down since I started working out. I just about started to cry with my trainer, who then put me through a tough workout while giving me a pep talk the entire time. By the time I walked out of the gym I felt like myself again. Well the new me anyway. And thank goodness because New Laura doesn't have much patience with feeling like that.
Beautiful fall day here in Minnesota, so went for a 4 mile walk with my niece this morning, then had an hour's worth of homework from my trainer to do at the gym this afternoon. I usually see him Mondays and he's out of town so he gave me quite a list of things to do today.0 -
No workout again today. My legs are feeling better (not quite so much limping). Tomorrow is the start of a new week and I'll jump back in as soon as I get home from work :]
Prayers for a speedy recovery of health and mood!0
