Today I did TUFFer Phase 1 Strength. It was start of week 3. Next it was Upright rowing alternating with lateral lunge. Things are looking up as my left arm is getting stronger & I earned the trophy from my Polar FT80 HRM Star built in trainer, for the third week in a row.

Enjoy your workout week. It is one week & one day until the big 60 for me & the anniversary of when I increased the level of my fitness program.

    LOL...such a cute poster graphic, Sherry...LOL!

Donna, you had an amazing workout session. Congrats on that THIRD trophy from your HRM, too.:flowerforyou:

This morning I started week 3 of TUFFer Phase 1 Strength and increased the load with 8 exercises. Definitely a cardio effect happening with my heart rate 137-161 bpm throughout this 55 minute session.

Wishing each of you a wonderful week of health & fitness!

    Hey all!

Donna, congrats on a another Polar trophy. Sounds like a doozy of a workout. It's amazing what you are doing vs. what many people are doing (or rather NOT doing) in your age group. A very wise decision to get fit...at ANY age. I hope to follow in your footsteps with regard to fitness for a lifetime.

Pam, way to go with some weight increases. I bet it feels good to get that confirmation of becoming stronger.

Today was yet another busy day. Parent-teacher meeting after school, but I had to bail early to get my son to his tutor (couldn't understand what the teacher was saying anyway--all Greek to me:laugh: ). After the tutor, we went straight to a casting. Right after that: dinner. FINALLY, sitting down for a moment before I will help my son get caught up on his exercises (they are physical exercises which provide a neurodevelopmental benefit and they require a parent to provide resistance to the child--so I can usually feel my biceps working through it). Then, tonight I will finally get to last week's last workout: lower body 2.

Have a GREAT start to the new week everybody!!

I could use some fitness fairy motivation dust today. Not feeling very well - it's been coming & going for a few days so I'm pretty sure it's allergies - but I'm not feeling my usual workout mojo today at all. Scheduled to do a 3 mile run after work so I'm hoping to perk up in the next few hours so I actually make that happen. Usually would be a trainer night too but he's out of town for a long weekend.

Sherry I hope you're feeling better today!

Donna you're such an inspiration! The Polar trophies sound like a great motivator.

Just added another week of thread starters, so BUMP to today's thread.

Laura, hope you get that run in!

I didn't, but it was a reasoned decision. After Saturday's runs my knees & shins were both sore, which told me it was time for new running shoes. Still sore today, and generally not feeling well, so I decided going for my run was more stubborn than smart. Instead I stopped on the way home and bought new running shoes. I can run Tuesday/Thursday this week instead of Monday/Wednesday.

Hi Laura, sounds like a good decision to wait and run tomorrow with the new running shoes. Hope you start feeling back to 100% soon.
