So, i've previously been eating low carb (several months) prior to starting keto. I started keto three days ago. First day lost 1.2, second day lost 0.8 then today I gained it all back. I know it was probably water loss. Did get keto flu of nausea while eating. Had a hard time figuring out my macros, then used cavemans keto calculator. Ended up with 25g net carbs, 70g protein, and 92g fat per day. Im 38 years old, female wanting to lose weight around 30 pounds. Based on MFP my calorie intake is 1200 per day. changed my setting as best i could to match what the keto calcultor came up with on MFP. I use ketosticks for urine analysis and as of today in ketosis. obviously, i'm very impatient. I just thought that I would keep losing and not gain. I'm scared to see the scale tomorow and see more weight gain. am I doing something wrong?? or is it just too early to tell?

Never gained back 2 lbs in one day while in ketosis before, but everybody's body is different. I would focus more on LOTS of water consumption and keeping with the somewhat strict macros for 5-7 days before checking your weight again.0

For women, a lot depends on where you are in your monthly cycle. If you're within a week or so of that TOM, you could be retaining some water.
Keep your carbs under 20g/day, eat enough protein & fat to feel satiated. It may take a week or more to show results. I know it took 1.5 weeks for me anyway.

The scale lies to you. I've gone up 10lbs from one day to the next, but overall, week-to-week, it's a downward trend. Go by how your clothes fit over the course of the next few months.0

Thanks again everyone. I appreciated the input, but its hard not to listen to the scale for validation on progress. I've read that being on the keto diet your weight fluctuates so much with water that its best to only weigh yourself once a week, same day to get a better idea of how your doing.... I just don't want to be spinning my wheels , if you know what I mean..0

Never regained either.
Here is a tip for making it easier to count, stay in keto and lose even more.
Stop counting 'Net carbs' and removing fibre etc.
Just count those carbs as if they were real, so use the largest carb number on the food. You will end up eating even less carbs which can only help
some people need under 15g a day to get in and stay in keto, and if you miscalculate and eat even 21 one day it may be too many and cause you to put water on and of and go in and out of keto which will make you feel crap.0
