Day 1 of phase 3. OMG, it feels so decadent! The old stuff, (yogurt, almond butter, fresh raspberries), taste better than ever!
Ladies, hang in there because it is so worth it!

Congratulations! I have 7 lbs to go and have lost all motivation. I just want to stick it out but these last few lbs are killing me!0

I feel your pain - been fighting the same 1 lb for the last month!! Had to really buckle down this week and we'll see what happens at weigh in on Wednesday. Part of me wants to quit and say "fine - I like being this weight!" but the other part really wants to actually lost that last 5-10 lbs to hit my goal weight :P0 -
Thanks. Actually, the losing part was easy, I even lost 10 more. My challenge is being off food restriction. I tend to be an all or nothing sort of dieter. Being out of ketosis feels weird..0

Going to phase three in the next few days....kinda scared actually. Like you, once I'm "allowed" to start eating carbs again they seem to come back with a vengence!!0

I was scared too! Carbs are my kryptonite!0

So am getting close to my goal but I am sad that I don't "feel" any different. I know I have lost weight, people comment, my clothes are too big, but every time I look at myself I still "feel" overweight. It's in my head and it is about my self-image but I am wondering how you all feel after you lost the weight?0

I am 5'3" and my BMI says that I "should be" between 115-135. I am currently sitting at about 144 and quite comfortable with that for now. I "feel"...good...attractive. I like how I feel like I can walk faster; how I can do up my ski boots without holding my breath while I struggle to reach that far down. I love that I've gone from my size 16 pants being too tight to my size 10's fitting nicely.
I hope this doesn't come across preachy, but here are my best suggestions from the easiest to the hardest:
1) accept compliments with grace;
2) choose to believe those who compliment you;
3) buy some new or new-to-you clothes that fit well and are not too large;
4) choose to look good every day - except those that you choose to kick around the house in your PJ's ;-)
5) go out and try activities that you couldn't do well when you were overweight;
6) consider putting out some $ for an image consultant who can help you see yourself more objectively and maximize your best assets;
7) try to figure out what you were expecting "feeling thinner or healty" was going to feel like...was that realistic?
8) ask yourself if you are dealing with body dysmorphia issues that require some sessions with a therapist.
surely something there will resonate with you...0
