NEWBIE Help please

:smile: Hello all. I am very interested in this! However of course I have some reservations...maybe y'all could help me with that. I was eating about 1980 cals per day and maintaining, had my macros set to 40-30-30 I dropped it down to loose 1/2 a pound a week and wasn't seeing anything. I decided to go to the local personal trainer (who from what I can see has no certifications) he wanted me to drop my cals to 1483 drop my fat wayyy low to 23 and increase p and decrease carbs to 139. Ive seen so
me changes, but feel like all I can think about is food and that I'm not eating enough. With all that said I am scared to up my cals...

When you start this program can you gain weight? Should I adjust my macros over a period of time? Any advice/suggestions and friend adds would be so appreciated!! Thank you so much!!
Oh in case you need details. I'm about 150 no body fat %, I don't nec want to see the scale move, but want to loose fat and gain some muscle. Is the IIFYM.com a good place to get your macros??
