Hi I am new to this group. And as I am sure you all understand it has been a very slow road. But I am not giving up, just hoping to interact more with other who also have the challenge of the thyroid that doesnt want to play in the same ball game. Hoping to find more friends for encouragment.

I have been fighting a weight problem since I was a teenager. I was taken to the Dr. when I was 17 and told that my thyroid was within normal limits. Years and 150 pounds later, I went to a endocrinologist and found out that your regular family doctor actually use different scales than they do and that my thyroid had not been working right for most of my life...I am taking 150mg of synthroid and still suffer from many of the symptoms including weight gain and inability to lose weight. I am at my wits in...help0
