I have been fighting a weight problem since I was a teenager. I was taken to the Dr. when I was 17 and told that my thyroid was within normal limits. Years and 150 pounds later, I went to a endocrinologist and found out that your regular family doctor actually use different scales than they do and that my thyroid had not been working right for most of my life...I am taking 150mg of synthroid and still suffer from many of the symptoms including weight gain and inability to lose weight.
