I started Jillian Michaels 30 day shred so I'm sure that is the reason I gained this week. I have two cheat days in a row this week because of celebrating my birthday but I'm going to work hard the rest of the days to not gain this week. :grumble:

In life, you are going to want to celebrate birthdays, so it's OK to do that. We shouldn't do anything now we can't do for life, right?!

To MelonGG: keep it up - you will see result if you are diligent and stay the course. I am having to force myself to remember that, too, but it really is true. You'll get there!

Woo hoo to Zanne! Way to kick *kitten* on the ice. Good luck at the race!!

    + .2 lbs.

After a gain since the beginning I was actually down today .8 of a lb. I will take it. Honestly I would of like to see a bigger loss but I know that I had a great week of eating and exercising so I will have to stay the course.

I'm not ready to take measurements but I do feel like my body is more engaged or leaner.

Congrats everyone on another great week and Woo Hoo for all the weight loss!

I am so happy that I was able to get back on track after a rough thanksgiving and week following. It was really tough on me mentally and i felt like giving up, but I am so happy now that i have stayed the course.

Wishing you all the best of luck with the remainder of this journey, less than 2 months now :)

Karen - you might want to take measurements. I started the challenge with my son on July 1st, initially I lost pretty consistently and then I hit a plateau that lasted almost 4 weeks. The funny thing was that the tape measure told the real story during that time as every week there was an overall decrease in inches. As of today I have lost 35.8 lbs but my total inches lost is 37.25. I meausre the following weekly: bicep right and left, chest, ribcage, waist, hips, upper right and left thigh, lower right and left thigh, and calf right and left. In some respects I am more motivated by the tape measure than the scale because if the tape measure is decreasing my clothes aren't going to fit the same. Keep up the good work! Terri
TIP: I always measure standing with my side to the mirror so that I can check to make sure the tape measure is level.

Still 192. Was taking a steroid last week. I don't know if that's the reason or not. Oh well. Onward to week 7! :frown:

I'd be happy to make it to 150 at this rate! Not been the best week, we've been on holiday this week, so lots of eating out, and one day we visited family we've not seen for many months, a lot of food and alcohol was consumed that day! I've not made very good food choices this week at all, and I've had no laptop all week, so poor to no logging didn't help either.
It's Monday, it's a new week and kids are back to school tomorrow, and I am back to work too. Fresh start, I have my eye on a lovely new dress to wear for Christmas, I am hoping to get it and look good in it!

    Week 6: 186.0

I weighed on Saturday morning and by Sunday morning I was down another half pound, but I decided not to worry about it since I'd already done my "official" weigh in. It'll just count for next week! But looks like I'm about halfway to my 20 lb goal, and that will put me just one pound above "normal" BMI for my height. That will be a happy day!
