SL 5x5 Question

I've been following SL 5x5 since moving from NROLFW in September and I do like the simplicity of the routine but it feels like it's not enough. I don't do a lot of cardio (okay, I barely do any lol) so on the day that it's ONE set of deadlifts plus 5x squats and OHpress i feel like I haven't done enough. Would it be a big deal to do all the workouts in a day, since it's really only adding ONE set of deadlifts and an extra 5x OHPress to the regular routine? What are your thoughts (anyone)?

What -I- did while following SL is to add a few accessory workouts to beef it up a bit.

Early in the program it might be a better idea to do more sets to practice form at very low weight. As you progress, your feeling that you are not doing much will likely disappear. Doing much more would tend to seriously hinder recovery.

How much are you currently lifting and how long is it taking?

    This is embarrassing but...

There is nothing embarrassing about those lifts, you are in the gym doing it!

What are your rest periods between sets like? Are you fatigued on the last sets? If so, take a little longer rest period before the next set. When I'm going heavy it's not unusual to take 5 minutes between sets.

For workout B you should also be doing the chinups/pullups and prone bridges.

Also, once the weight goes up you won't feel like doing anything else!

I'm usually fatigued for the last reps of the last set or two but I never have sore muscles the next day. I used to at the very beginning but now nothing. I don't think I could go heavier while maintaining proper form though. I try and increase 5lbs every week, week and a half. I rest 90 seconds on early sets and usually 2 minutes or 2.5 minutes towards the latter sets.

If you are not adding weight every workout until failure (including failing form) then you are not doing SL 5x5. You won't get the benefit of the program that way. Add 5 pounds each workout until you fail, then follow the instructions in the program. Failing to do all the reps with good form isn't a bad thing, it's the whole reason the program exists.
