Love the new poster quote to start off a new month, Sherry.
TGIF from my neck of the world!
Got in TUFFer Phase 2 WO1 this morning. Updated at MFP and JeFit. Viewing YouTube gave me a clearer understanding of how to properly do all of the 4 exercises. For the first time I was able to do 4 of 5 sets on my toes performing Renegade Dumbbell Row...YAY! I am already feeling it in my forearms. If you aren't familiar with what it looks like, look it up on YouTube...whoa.
I am going to catch up on Grey's Anatomy and Scandal today, plus, read more of Younger Next Year For Women (highly recommended). Make it a FANTASTIC Friday!0 -
Sherry, today's saying is on target. You are excellent at picking these out.
Pamela, that renegade row is a 'killer' in a good way. Glad you got through it. Having the videos online definitely helps with the 'how to' of exercises compared to the days when it all was done from books.
Today was TUFFer Phase 2 WO2, then treadmill walking, elliptical & jogging across basement. While I admire those who can do running, I will double up on strength training workouts next week rather than do running to fill in the remaining time in the high heart rate.
I am off to have my breakfast.0 -
Pam I love those shows too...
I am taking a few days off exercise. I am fighting something, headache, tired, throat, etc. I went to nia yesterday forcing it, that pic was before class..after class I got all flushed by exercising and felt sick all day.
I am all signed up with a couple of weight loss challenges to get me back on track with food. I am addicted to exercise I love moving so that part is good...0 -

Hey, welcome to November! Don't blink, we're going to be ushering in a new year before ya know it.
Today DH had an appt after work, so I was stuck with lil girl. Her birthday is coming up next week, so we did some shopping while my son was at lessons. So, all the usual walking to/from school & lessons, etc, plus shopping & some carrying the (lazy) lil girl. By the time we got home, I was beat and so was DH. I'm really wanting to get out and run this weekend, but will have to get some of the secret birthday shopping done too. So the plan is shopping, running, and TUFF upper body 1 this weekend. I need to catch up on TUFF and get back into a weekly routine now that I've beat that cold.
Keep it up everybody! Checking in here and knowing y'all are out there gettin' it done keeps me moving forward. :flowerforyou:
Marla, take care and hope you get back to 100% asap.
Pam, renegade rows on your toes! Way to go! That's something to celebrate.
Donna, speaking of doing things from books, I found MFP because I had always in the past calorie-counted with a notebook and a calorie book (list of lots of foods with their calorie content) and this time I thought "There must be a better way" and googled it and found MFP. I had no idea what a treasure I had found at the time!
Tim, love that sore feeling that says you're doing it right. So glad to have you here in the group. The more consistent people we have, the more accountability we create for ourselves and each other.

I'm often the last one posting, but I love getting to read what everybody else is up to.
Trainer session at 5:00 this morning, and I barely beat him in the door. Rolled out of bed at 4:15 but took forever to get myself out of the house. Short warm-up, good workout, then a few intervals on Jacob's Ladder for cardio after. My trainer wanted me to do 8 intervals and I made it for 3 before my legs refused to do more. Legs still hurt from Wednesday night's workout! Got in a lot of walking today though so my step count is over 12K even though I didn't get a lot of formal cardio in.
I'm worried I'm also coming down with something. Couple people at work were sick today and I'm just not feeling like myself. Stopped at Walmart on the way home and stocked up on Airborne. I'm looking forward to my run tomorrow so I'm not about to get sick.0 -
Feeling better, I have been taking some Chinese herbs called Gan Mao Ling. Went into healthy store (like whole foods but not) in Boulder Co on my vacation because I felt something coming on and still had two weeks of trip left, guy said to take it. I trusted him and it worked, I never got sick. Few weeks later felt something and again went away.
This time I think it is fighting something strong, so I took double dose twice a day and by this afternoon most of my energy is back, I went out and helped husband store summer furniture before rains and snow start.
Feeling pretty good now almost normal...wow is all I can say for this stuff.
I don't like taking something made in China considering how polluted it is over there, so hope I don't feel sick too much!!! lol0
