I am so excited this morning... I kinda doubted this Atkins diet because nothing else has ever worked for me. I did go on weight watchers once and lost 40 pounds but it took me forever to lose that. I know this is probably fluid but I started Monday and today I weighed and have lost a pound a day!!!!! 5 pounds gone forever. I made it through Halloween without any candy!!!!! I have stuck to it all week and so happy.
I know this is nothing to some of you but I have been dealing with this weight for so long and I think I have finally had that ahhh haaa moment! I want to be thin soooo badly and just for once I want to be thin this summer. I am going to continue into next week and just see if I continue to lose. If I do I might stick on the introduction for another two weeks.
If anyone would like to be my buddy please add me because honestly some of the food I am eating is getting boring.

Congrats on getting things going again! Yes the 1st few lbs will come off fast and it's mostly water, but stick with it and you'll make progress. The way you lost the 40lbs on WW- slow is the way, so keep that in mind this time around too. I lose maybe .5lbs a week, though this last week I lost 2, which is the most I've ever lost.0

I agree with danimalkeys. Don't expect to continue to drop the weight like the first week. I'm just finishing up my second week and have only lost about 4 pounds (granted, TOM is about to visit, soooooo that could be part of it). But just think, this time around you can continue to lose weight, not feel like crap from blood sugar highs and lows, and still eat BUTTER and BACON. Am I right?!?! Stick with it, and you will see results! (P.S. I speak from experience having done this about 15 years ago as well...lost 40 pounds back then, fairly quickly, but I was also competitively swimming then too.)0

Congratulations!! Weight loss aside, just getting through the first week (and past Halloween) is reason to celebrate!! And I feel like when you have weight to lose even the water weight is worth celebrating. True it's not fat loss, but the scale is moving and that's the #1 motivator, right? Let that forward momentum and excitement over the scale fuel you in the coming weeks!!0

That is awesome!! I've been doing this for 7 weeks and have lost 19 pounds, I stick to 25 carbs or less per day. I'm very excited that you are here! I sent you a friend request0 -
Congrats!!! Stick with it, weight loss may start to slow in a couple of weeks but don't give up! You just got to keep on going & re-awake your metabolism ( there are many ways to do that on LCHF). Again great job! :drinker:0
