The Cabin in the Woods

My wife and I were rewatching this a few days ago, when I had a realization...(spoilers..maybe?)

The old guy at the gas station, Mordecai, the harbinger, he is there to warn them that they will die. If they ignore his warning, they are fair game...What happens a few scenes later?
The harbinger calls the company and warns them that the fool almost derailed everything. The company ignores him, and we all know what follows. Brilliant! I'd seen the movie at least 4 times before and hadn't realized the significance of that scene. I think I like the movie a little more now.

I finally watched this for the first time the other day and really liked it. I loved the concept that it's not the usual slasher in the woods type of movie. I plan on watching it again soon to catch all the stuff that I missed the first time through. Always happens, I'll watch something a second time and go "hey I didn't catch that before".
