Ate like crap this week, the Halloween candy has begun at our house! Really need to control my sugar intake as that is all I want. Time to start cooking again and making smart choices!0 -
Starting: 130 lbs, 5' 2
25 weeks (almost): +14 lbs
I was away for work for the last 5 days though, so it might be some water/salt weight as well. Either way, if I gain a lb a week until the babe comes then I'm still within the recommended range. I am hoping things slow down a bit though, I'm short/small and I was at the higher end of the healthy range when I conceived so I'm hoping to gain closer to 25.0 -
Starting weight 115 @ 5'4. 17 weeks today and weigh 120 so 5 pounds gained. Probably just ruined it by eating quarter pounder at McDonalds for lunch0
-
Wow! I'm amazed at the "small" gains. (Maybe I'm just gaining to much:( )
I'm 28 weeks 5days and have gained 25 pounds. I gained 5 pounds in both July and August but then haven't gained any since beginning of September. And with my first three pregnancies I gained almost all my weight in the middle too so hoping its the same
I'm at my "limit" that I set for myself, but I'm only a little upset about that lol. If I have to gain more then that's ok as long as baby and i are healthy!
Btw... I'm 5'9" started at 175( which was higher than I wanted as I had gained about 10 pounds from frustration and excuses) and am at 200 right now.
My picture is at about 24 weeks0 -
Starting weight 115 @ 5'4 now at 18 weeks I weigh 122ish from day to day. I had a 2 pound jump from 17 weeks out of nowhere that stuck around. But I'm back to logging everything no matter how guilty I feel about it. So its a little over 7 pounds from pre pregnancy weight0

Thanks! I've been doing a lot of walking this week with my parents and in general I'm more active this pregnancy. I don't "exercise" but I'm home all day with a toddler so it's already more moving than my first pregnancy when I had a desk job. I need to start my squats and elliptical back up though, my bum is getting too flabby!0 -
Starting weight 115 @ 5'4. Currently 19 weeks as of yesterday and jumped from 121.8 to 123 over night. Wasn't going to count it since I thought it was water weight. But despite healthy eating, exercising, and drinking loads of water I remain at 123.2 this morning bringing my weight gain to 8.2 pounds today I wouldn't care about the gain except I want it to be way more gradual. Apparently even eating healthy and working out doesn't keep a Prego body from doing what it wants LOL0

Since 20 weeks, it's been harder for me to regulate my weight and no, it doesn't seem gradual at all!!0 -
I keep hoping it will slow down, but no luck! Gained 2 pounds in a week. Here's my update:

That's very impressive. Great job!!0 -
Starting weight 115 @ 5'4. Currently 21 weeks and weigh 125 so a gain of 10 pounds now. I'm still getting in at least 45-60 mins of exercise 5-6 days a week and logging my food as honestly as possible LOL. I still weigh less now than I did when I conceived my first son so I'm happy ????0

Ugh, dreading the challenge of being pregnant during the holidays. Too much eating and too cold for walks will not be good for me.0 -
Starting weight 115 @ 5'4 and the last time I posted I was just at 21 weeks and weighed 125....well that jumped up to 126.4 and I still have 4 days until I hit 22 weeks! Which means I will probably gain at least 2 pounds this week if not more! This is depressing considering I just started following a more "primal" diet and cut out all processed food and white bread/rice. I feel like I drink water like a camel and I'm always thirsty. This is depressing now0

I understand. It's hard to accept, but our bodies are going to gain at their own rates now. Keep up the good work with the primal diet and lots of water!

Another 2 pound gain this week, luckily my entire body grew so I can see the difference. Not feeling too great about it though, and on top of that I had a doctor's appointment this morning and I have gained 7.5 pounds in a month, plus I'm slightly anemic. I knew when I finally gained weight it would be rapid, but I wasn't quite prepared for 2 pounds a week! At this rate I'll be heavier than I was with my first and I started lighter with this one. Time to really get serious and start logging/exercising again.0 -
Just checking in! I started at 202, and I am 5'4"... Already in the "obese" category, so 11-20 pounds for me. Today at 29w4d I weighed in at 210.9.
Total, I am up just about 9 pounds. My midwife says from here on out a one pound gain per week would be great.
I haven't been logging food or exercise since the start, but I really haven't felt that hungry. Maybe it's the fuller abdomen? I dunno!0 -
Well, I just posted in the larger group, but maybe I'd prefer the smaller one..
Height: 5'5"
Starting weight: 112lbs
Current weight: 148lbs (I'll be 34 weeks on Wednesday)
Total gain so far: 36lbs
I actually had a really weird jump this week where I put on 7lbs, which surprised me. It's not water weight, and it's not me-weight. Baby definitely had a huge growth spurt - my belly is significantly larger and tighter than it was a few days ago.
(I won't be surprised if this baby is 10lbs, though. He's feels heavier to carry than my girls did, like he's going to be more solid.)0 -

Only 1.5 pound gain this week, still too much but at least it's not another 2 pound gain! I started tracking my calories again last Thursday and the first day I was 1,000 calories over my goal! I've only had 1 day where I was within 50 calories of my goal (which is to gain 1/2 pound a week) so I have some adjusting to do, I've definitely been "eating for two" while I wasn't tracking.0 -
Hello ladies!
Starting: 130 lbs, 5' 2
25 weeks (almost): +14 lbs
30 weeks: +22
Things have been crazy here with an unexpected death in the family and my father-in-law more or less moving in for an undefined period of time (these past 2 weeks have been...interesting...to say the least)
Anywho, I'm still hoping to shoot for 25-30 lb gain total but with 10 weeks left we'll see how that goes. I found my weight spiked last week but has gone back down and stabilized now so hopefully I can hang around 150-155 for a while longer. I am finding that I get fuller faster and I'm making a better effort to eat more fruit and veggies and less junk food.
For those with lower gains so far, I'm curious what your goals are and why? Sometimes everything in pregnancy feels so arbitrary (ie. the 25-35 lb recommended gain for people from 4 ft to 6 ft pretty much) I wonder if your dr. is saying something else or if it's personal preference. No judgement either way (it's your body and your baby!) I'm just nosy0 -
Hello everyone! Hope you are doing well!
Mid-way through week 27 and I'm officially up 20 pounds.
mrs_n0rris - I was sort of wondering the same thing (because I'm nosy also, lol!!). I was really worried about the weight gain, but my Dr is happy with how things are going so far, so I'm less concerned than I was. I think it is kind of funny though that I am on the low end of the height spectrum (4'11), but based on the responses we have in our group, closer to the higher-end of the weight gain. :ohwell:0
