So, folks I know I have neglected you for a time now but how have things been going? What is the good, bad and ugly in your life?
Any challenges you faced this week and survived? Got beat but not beat down? What victories?

I fell off my wagon a few weeks ago. I'm trying so hard to get back on it. Making time to exercise is kicking my butt! If I could get a swift kick I could get back into it....I'm starting over again this week. *fingers crossed*

Increased dose of metformin is kicking my backside, but last week had a bunch of people comment that I look like I'm losing weight (I really don't know if I am or not since I will not get on a scale unless I'm at the doctor's office- I'm finally getting to where I'm not obsessing about that number and I don't want to go back there, plus the last time people kept saying that I looked like I was losing weight, I had actually GAINED 10 lbs, so I'm not going there again.) I think I have figured out what it is about the metformin that's causing me problems so I have a new project: I need to make sure that I am eating smaller amounts because I seem to have themost problems with the side effects when I "over eat" (I'm saying that in quotes because I am usually eating a serving of something so I need to make my serving size smaller: I'm thinking cutting my serving in 1/2 and eat then when I get hungry again in a few hours eat the other 1/2.)
Other than that, just bustling around with a busy bee schedule and worrying about the family (my cousin got admitted to the hospital on Friday due to high blood pressure and they discovered that she has kidney disease- thankfully they caught it before she ended up in kidney failure.)

Well, once again it is confirmed and I discovered that I do best when I have sleep. A no brainer but sometimes I wonder how do you sleep when you commute, the wants more then 100% from you, then you have to d o your other duties in lfie so how I cannot even compute if I had kids....if I did I would be a hot mess!

    Sigh I need more sleep!

Weekends - I'm living for the weekends. I don't want to work anymore. Can I retire yet? I would rather run and bike and do stuff with my kid and karate. And sleep. I want time to sleep. Darn that work - its really getting in the way of my real life.
