Hey busy Monday people!
Busy here too. Today I went back to the gym to meet with the trainer who knows about the weights and everything looks good. I wasn't too crowded. In the weights section, there was one girl and 3-4 guys mostly using dumbbells. Most of the barbells were not being used, nor the squat rack, and there were open flat benches. Yay! DH gave me budget approval , so I guess I'll go sign-up this week.
Since I wasn't dressed for running (ehem, no sportsbra), I mostly walked (slipped in a couple 5min runs here and there), for almost 2hrs today (not incl. my usual walking to/from school & tutor & home). Heel is still bothering me, but I'm wearing my good shoes everywhere I go now.0 -
Ok laugh but I was organizing my xmas stuff. I like to do themes, blue & silver, red & green, red & white...and this year is red & white and I was taking that out...put in spare room until day after thanksgiving I am not that early!! :laugh:
Now that I am empty nester and this year home just the two of us, if it was up to husband we would do nothing, but I like to decorate just for me! The lights and sparkle make me happy!
And its not just for me this year, I talked my bookclub into letting me host our annual xmas party.
hmmmm....exercise :ohwell: off for a few days of not feeling well and some pain in buttocks from doing too much floor work last week. I rested enough even though still slightly sore, will do more stretches and some walking today.0 -
Sherry that is great about the gym! Glad you were able to find somewhere that you can be comfortable.
Marla I'm with your husband. I don't decorate. I was thinking I should hang some lights up though around my living room because I do like lights. But my house is so small that I would have to remove furniture in order to put a tree up, so I stopped doing that several years ago.
I went to the gym this morning & ran 2 miles on the treadmill, power walked with a friend at lunch, am about to change clothes to get on the TrekDesk at work, and have a trainer session tonight.0 -
Marla, you are so organized! My only theme is usually, "Hey look, the tree is up ... and it even has lights on it!" haha!:laugh: Well, we have my son's birthday in early December, so I don't think I'll ever rush Christmas, so as not to overshadow his birthday. (Besides, since the tree will probably be up until March, why rush putting it up? hahaha! just kidding. We don't leave it up that long...any more. haha) Hope your derriere gets to feeling better--you must've done something right, workin' on your killer buns.
Thinking I might have to organize a gym wardrobe soon. Working out at home has spoiled me--I work out in old yoga pants that are not fit for public and now that I'll be going to the gym I don't know what I have to wear (can't wear my running clothes, as they are nice but only for running and I made the mistake of lifting at home in the pants one time and the bar "picked" the fabric. ) Practiced my overhead press with my little girl tonight. Managed 5 reps. She is a squirmy ~41 pounds, so I'm getting closer to my goal of 44lbs (wt of olympic bar).
Off for a little snack and then sleeeeep. :yawn:0 -

Ok - best thing ever for sore bum - a foam roller. It is God's give to a cramping hip and but muscles! Love IT!
Today had a bit of a headache but I know exercise usually takes care of it.
Medicine ball work out from Daily Burn it was nice. Not sure if we are going for a walk - husband is at TKD. Headache is much better now.
Had to look up Trekdesk. Maybe this is what I should have the kids do at school! : )
(I'm a high school math teacher, my Algebra II class is a little rambunctious they could use this!)0 -
Today is my long day with work & class in the evening so I haven't had a chance to read through other's postings yet for today. I did manage to get my workout in early morning knowing it is my crazy day and I wanted to get my week off to a good start. Kept on track with eating too. It's been a good day!0

My internet went out unexpected for 15 hrs crazy! Yesterday IE Monday it rained almost all day so I took it indoors and did the elliptical for 45 mins and worked out my Abs / Back for 45mins as well a lower burn calorie wise but it's ok at least I got into the gym...0
