Last 5 days I've thrown lchf out the window and I feel miserable ! Scale says I've gained 7lbs ! Whatevs! But jeans are tight and fat rolls back. Should I cut to 1200 cals ...I usually go 1400, and keep carbs under 20? Edit to add I caught a horrible sinus infection 5 days ago & it's still bad, but I haven't been working out bc of it, which is prob another reason. I feel so so crappy

I would just start up where you left off and really push the water, especially since you are feeling ill. If 1400 cals worked 5 days ago why drop to 1200?

To make up for the over abundance of calories earlier in the week. No ?

Just go back to your previous strategy of 1400. Chalk this event as an experiment, as you just discovered what happens when you go off low carb. You learned what happens, so now make a u-turn, and resume the other path you were successfully on. No biggie.

I agree with the others. Just go back to your normal LCHF eating. There is no need to overcompensate. It is mostly water weight and will come off quickly. Stay hydrated too when you are not feeling well and give yourself a break on the exercise if you are not feeling well.

I agree, I would just stay at your normally calorie level, if you do anything different try to eat more fat, especially if you start to have cravings or are hungry!

Don't worry about the weight, stay on track it will come right back off!
