Motivational Tunes for Bod Squaddies!

I have been thinking about this for YEARS and just haven't pulled it together but what better way than to do it with our group. Off and on I have considered music that makes me feel empowered, in control and motivated. I apply the need liberally and not just to weight loss but to down days and disappointments as well.
Often I look for a hook to get me motivated in the morning and it is often lyrics from songs so I was thinking we could share songs we like that jazz us up and post links to the songs (if available). Maybe when we need a lift, knowing someone else is getting a boost from a song they posted will get us in gear.
Post your favorite tunes here all decades welcome. I would love to see what works for you and listen to it when I am struggling. Does this sound like a plan??
Happy Jammin'!

Some great tunes Yornma! I love Eminem - never heard of some of the others so will give them a try;)0

Totally agree with yornma and I LOVE Imagine Dragons - Radioactive - been playing it a lot recently.
Others that make my 'staple' workout mix (quite a few stereotypical ones in there and I know I'm forgetting some!):
Bodyrockers - I Like the Way You Move
Fatboy Slim - Rockafella Skank
Rudimental - Waiting all Night
Foo Fighters - Learn to Fly
Rhianna - Disturbia
Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Stronger, Faster
DJ Fresh - Gold Dust
Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition
Pompeii - Bastille0 -
I like a couple of the tunes from Capital Cities (Safe and Sound/Farrah Fawcett Hair). I have an oldie called 'Rhythm of the NIght' by Snap. For cool down and stretching I like a little Enya, especially Storms over Africa. A couple from Timberland and JT is always great. Thanks for the topic!0

Oh, Rhythm of the night - a classic;) Enya - lovely! My favourite is Marble Halls - reminds me of singing to my babies (now all big lads who hate me singing!)0 -
*bows* Thank you. I was a bit worried since Eminem is rap/rock so is Macklemore.
Lindsey Stirling is violin/dubstep and I found her by accident and Skrillex is dubstep.
I wanted to add disco, but I haven't listened to it recently.
I hope the list helps.0 -
Rock and heavy metal get me really pumped, but I listen to a variety of stuff. My favorites are
Blood - In This Moment
Adrenalize - In This Moment
Love Hate Masquerade - Surrender the Fall
Deeper Inside - Surrender the Fall
Down With The Sickness - Disturbed
Papercut - Linkin Park
Animal I Have Become - Three Days Grace0 -

Loving the young Ms Stirling!0 -
Lindsey Stirling's Radioactive cover is pretty good - shame i'm less a fan of Pentatonix (spelling).
She's done a good cover of the Zelda Medley
I'm also a fan of Chase and Status for workouts:

Excellent tunes posted by everybody. I have finally had time to go through and listen to them on Youtube. I think I need to make a motivation tune compiliation. OOooo I'll call it Bod Squad Beats
Thanks for contributing!0 -
I have my playlist on Spotify the commercial breaks aren't so bothersome but I love the having the chance to view the video for the 30 minutes of uninterrupted music. My playlist includes: Pitbull, Pink, Eminem, Ludacris, Fort Minor, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Keisha, Nickelback, etc. And I added a track from the Blade soundtrack called "Confusion" it's a techno/rave song and it's about 10 minutes long which is perfect for the treadmill.
Anything that gets you up and bouncing.0
