^^Today's thought-of-the-day is for me. I've been really worried and sad that I might have to restrict my activities (well, actually, I already HAVE restricted myself, at least until I can get answers from a doctor--appt is scheduled for Thursday). Today I've been doing some very careful form bodyweight squats and some pelvic exercise (uh, yeahhh:huh: ). No tutor again today, so will be busy with homework and final preparations for son's birthday tomorrow.

I look forward to reading about everyone's activities today! Do an extra rep for me. :)

    hi everyone

Today will be exercise class....its only tonight, so I have the day to work around the house. yesterday I got out for a really nice 6K run. It was cool of course, but it was nice to be outside. Leg felt good, and overall - just felt good!

My main thing....I really need to get strict with my eating after supper. I always plan to be...but when the time comes, I just take a handful or a couple of bites. Last night I did good....and tonight I hope to do the same. Why do evenings have to be so hard.

Well no gym or running for me today ended up being another rest day...My body has been really tired that last several days now been staying up to late in the morning after work which ends up burning my sleep schedule. Hopefully tomorrow morning I will get to bed at a good time after the gym and a run. I will be back in the gym and going to a run after I get off this morning. I will update once I get done got to burn off some calories from the last several days of break.

Sherry - I hope your doctor can figure out what's been going on with your body lately

Sherry I hope the doctor has answers for you, and that they're good ones.

Maureli, I agree - evenings are tough! Monday through Thursday I have workouts after work so it's late before I eat supper, which helps with the snacking. It's 8:00 pm here and I'm thinking I should probably get up and find something to eat.

Tim I hope you can get rested up!

I started my morning with 30 minutes of shoveling, did 60 minutes of Pilates after work, and maybe 5 minutes of shoveling again when I got home. We've got about a foot of snow already and are expecting another 12-16" between now and Thursday morning, so plenty of opportunities to burn calories coming up.

Tonight a light class at Tae Kwon Do. Then went for a walk with husband and dog. Too many meetings to workout after.

    "Fear is a liar" - I love it!! That's a mantra!

Does anyone else ever get nervous before a workout? The first few seconds of my evening walk are like that, until the endorphins kick in. Last night I pushed myself to start the walk at a faster pace, to get to the endorphins quicker, and it worked well. Have to remember that.

Sorry you're having medical worries, Sherry. Not feeling 100% is a downer. Hope you get in whatever exercise you feel comfortable doing. Feel better, feel good soon!

All the kids are home still, and bored, so considering a little hike in the nearby dessert (correct that to desert! Freudian slip?). Not sure how that will workout (correct that to work out! lol) with two babies in tow. Maybe I'll have to stay home. If so, pass me the jump rope.

    haha! That made me laugh!

btw, about the "nervous" thing. I think people do have a pre-emptive reaction. With running, I get a little...what you might call "nervous", because it's out in the world with traffic and people and trucks and dogs and construction zones, etc. But when I do a workout at home, I would describe it more as "getting pumped" or "getting psyched up". Interesting. Never thought about it before. I guess that's just one of those things that lets you know you're alive. :-)
