I am about 140 pounds overweight and never thought i would get this big. i need encouragement to walk. It doesn't help when my sister that lives with me because she orders me around which id on't like so i will try to walk again outside i also have walking tapes if i can find enough room to walk in the house with them.

I am challenging myself to walk at least an hour each day this week. I walked this morning, so day one down. Maybe it would help if others set goals for themselves too...maybe 20 minutes a day or 90 minutes for some. Good luck everyone.0

Walking outside is more fun that walking inside the house. Even if it is colder now.
Try to set some goals and stick with it.
For example I've decided to walk to work this week instead of driving. It is about 2 miles each way. Not much for some but a few weeks ago the only waling I was doing was from home to car and car to office .
So, set some goals that you think you can achieve and stick with it for a few weeks.
Don't give up if your weight scale doesn't move... or better, don't weight for 1 month0 -
Hi sondra, if u have access to youtube there are plenty of walking routines available on there i think one lady's name is Julian Sommers jus check out the searches. i can walk evn in 'place' im sure the videos will help u get goin atleast even in the house.0
