Treadmill Pace Conversions

One thing that has been bothering me is that my treadmill pace is slower than my outdoor pace, even though it's "supposed" to be easier. Since I run with an incline, this explains much:

An article I just read on Active recommends boosting incline, not just pace, as you get faster on the treadmill. The chart shows all the equivalents.

That's interesting, my treadmill pace is quite a bit faster. I was discouraged initially and didn't want to let go of the treadmill for the outdoors. But now that I am used to outdoor running, it might be the reverse. It could be just that your body isn't accustomed to it.0
