Wow would I like to be able to do that pose! That takes amazing flexibility, strength & balance.
Rest day today for me. I got in a total body workout with my trainer last night, then went for an easy 3 mile treadmill run. It was my most comfortable treadmill run yet (although I still prefer running outside).
Hope everybody has a great day!0 -
Its a rest day for me as well from running and the gym...Back to it tomorrow with a 10k the first in awhile and hopefully a good chest and tricep workout.0

Hi and TGIF all!!!
Well, I am incredibly relieved. The doctor couldn't find a single thing wrong with me. Of course he pointed out that if it were to happen again, that it'd be best to come for an appointment immediately. Basically, I feel like I've got the greenlight for now. But!!! I have definitely learned a thing or two from this experience.
Things I've learned: (1) Carrying extra weight is a health liability. I *can* clean up my diet when I really want to. And I DO want to, and have been doing great with my diet this week
. (2) It is important to take time building up running and endurance, to give the body the chance to adjust. And as difficult as it will be to resist wanting to go farther, farther, all the time, I'm going to follow a very conservative schedule for building distance. (3) It is important to lift with impeccable form, to protect the body. I discovered that lifting heavy things is bad for prolapse and I don't want to run any risk whatsoever (even though I currently have no apparent signs of prolapse), so I will be the biggest stickler for form on weightlifting. I now see these things as "no choice, non-negotiable".
As for today, I owed my daughter a playground outing and my husband some quiet time, so he asked to take our son to lessons so that he could go sit at a cafe & read while he waited, and I took lil girl to play. So, no run or workout, but a very nice afternoon and we all met up afterwards for 1st dinner together. My diet has been totally on point this week and I'm very proud at how quickly I could get it down and under control, when the need arose. I'm going to stick to my current cut (with the occasional up day to keep my sanity) and try to get rid of some of this abdomen fat--getting rid of it more quickly might leave me with some sagginess, but it's just the best thing to do, to get some of the weight off in order to get into training WITHOUT the heavy spare tire.
I'm so relieved and so happy. Now... to see how the first run and the first workout will go. Weekends are usually rest and family time, but if my family will let me get away, I'll try for 3-5k this weekend, to test the waters.
Everybody have a super weekend!!!0 -
We hiked in snowy hills to cut down a tree today. Fun time.0
