can i lose 8 pounds per month

hi I was wondering if I eat 20-30 carbs per day and 1500 cals can I lose 8 pounds a month?? im 5 7 203 pounds and 34 years old...oh and my goal weight is 135!!!!!!!!!! thanks!!!!

    When I do low carb , I do not count calories , depends on what plan you are following , but I think it is possible but as you get closer to goal it will slow down.

    I did!

    I have never been overweight, when I started paleo I was 5'5", 132, size four jeans.

    In two months I lost 17 pounds. It was crazy, eating this way just works for me.

    Good luck! Whatever rate you lose, you're going to feel wonderful, and that's the real payoff =)

    I can attest to that. Low-carb combined with daily exercise for me resulted in a pretty significant drop in the first few months but then that slowed to where I am now in which I have to work hard for every pound. Try setting some shorter term goals and be prepared to modify along the way. The key is to stick with it and give your metabolism time to catch up with the changes you're making to your diet and lifestyle.
