Well I finally received my body media arm band today I can't wait to get started
I took it out got everything online set up and right now its just charging I will officially start tomorrow
I linked everything with MFP and noticed that they are saying I should be eating about 2065Cal's a day when I have MFP set to 1400
So I set my BM to also read 1400 because I didn't want any errors it was already telling me I have like another 1500 to eat and I know that was wrong.:noway:
Well I just wanted to post because I am super excited and can't wait to start tomorrow
Any one who is still using their BM band feel free to add me its always good to have a few friends around who understand what BM means LOL

OK so I have mine on no clue if its working or not
Well I think its working I heard the beeps but I'm trying to connect it to my phone but it just keeps telling me to press and release the button and I have done that several times.
So I'm just going to keep the band on and see what happens tonight when I get home and hope it registered everything.
Fingers crossed:ohwell:0 -
I had some frustration the first day or two that I used the band, but like anything, there is a learning curve. There is a place on the website called 'getting started" or something like that, that tells you how to set up the band. I'm pretty sure you just put it on and within 10 minutes or so it will beep telling you that it's started working. After the 1st time, it will only take maybe 3-5 minutes after you put the band back on for it to turn itself on.
For syncing to a mobile device, you have to "pair" your BMF with your device first. If you don't know how, go to the website, near the bottom of the page there is a column for "support", click on your arm band, and FAQs will come up. Scroll down until you find the question about pairing your device and choose the right one for your situation (iOS or Android). It will walk you step by step through how to pair. You should only have to do this once.
After that, when you want to sync, make sure your bluetooth is on, then open the app, and press the armband button briefly (when you first pair them, you have to hold it down for 5 seconds, but after that, for syncing, you just press it briefly since holding it down longer could unpair them). Your data will then show up in the app. If you want to upload the info. to the website, hit upload. The band will beep twice when it's done (maybe 10 sec.). Close the app when you're done so the band doesn't keep syncing all day and run down the battery. If you forget to close it, when you want to sync again, just pressing the button again might not work (it times out). In that case, just close the app, reopen it and press the armband button. Should be fine!
Also, if you want to know how many calories, steps, active minutes, etc. you are burning during an actual workout, you can click on "workout" at the bottom of the app, and choose either a set amount of time, steps or calories or just "quick", which leaves it open-ended. When you hit "start workout", it starts counting, and when you're done exercising you "end workout", and it shows you the data for your workout. Great! (Your armband has to be connected live to your mobile device first). Sometimes it loses connection during the workout, maybe if you get too far from your mobile device, no problem, the app will just tell you to press your armband button, and when you do, all your workout data will show up.
It also took me a while to realize I could flip back through past days in the app by scrolling sideways. Handy!
The mobile app is really like a mobile readout of data. To add info. (like food, daily weight) or to edit off body activity, etc. you have to do that on the website.
After a week or so you will get used to it, and it to you, and you'll love it!
ETA: If you have been logging your meals on MFP all along, you will probably want to continue to do so. You can either link them, or if you prefer not to for some reason, you can just enter your total daily calories consumed from MFP into BM on the website. At the top, click on "nutrition" and then "daily estimate", and enter your daily calorie number. I always pre-log first thing in the AM and add that number to BM. If I end up changing what I ate over the course of the day, I just go into BM at night or the next AM and change my estimate.0 -
All of what AHASRADA said! Congratulations to SexyMrsCarty and to PradaGx for buying one. I've had mine two years and its really helped to know the data. My girls won't wear one of these though so I bought them FitBit Force. We'll see how they like them. I may switch in a year or so to something else.0

Just wish CORE 2 would finally arrive
I swim and I heard it is waterproof so I am soooo excited!!!0 -
Congrat!! I love mine, I have only had it about 3 weeks, so I am still learning some things. It is very user friendly once you get it paired with your phone. The pairing was a bit difficult.0

Got mine early this afternoon, couldn't believe it as the UPS man always come at night. Plugged it in to charge and then starting wearing it tonight. So far everything has gone smoothly. I can't wait to see a full days worth of info after tomorrow has gone by. I think it wouldn't have gone so smoothly if I hadn't been reading everyone's posts the last few days so thanks guys :-)0

Well got it all hooked up to my phone turns out I needed to update the firm wear stuff who knew :blushing:
But so far so good, I like it I love seeing my steps anytime I want and I check in a lot all day
I'm hoping it learns me soon because it's telling me I burn the same calories each day but one day I did nothing and the other day I did an hour class in the gym of kettle bell. So I would have assumed that I would have not burned much yesterday but I did. Like I said I'll have to give it a week or two to learn me and go from there.
But being able to see my stats all day is really helping me to keep on track Love it.0 -
I'm loving mine too. I'm not sure about trusting the number of steps it says I've taken. I'm going to watch that a bit. It says I took more steps during the time I spent feeding my son his bottle and food, than when I was at the grocery store? Hmm. I wonder if it has something to do with the rocking motion of the rocking chair?
But what amazes me is the sleep thing. It's right on.
I'm addicted to checking it on my phone, lol. I'm sure that will wear off a bit but for now... totally obsessed.0
