This afternoon I ran my normal 5k and did a shoulder workout...Felt kind of blah again today but I pushed through it. Burned 650 calories in just under 90 minutes total.0

Hello all!
Today my son had loads of homework and was going to be at the tutor for 2 hours, so I ran home, did some stuff and ran back (amazing how much closer that neighborhood seems to ours when you run it!). Total about 30min running (and some warmup/cooldown walking), but broke into two. I think this is good for getting plenty of run time, but not going too much at one time. I'm trying to ease my body back into it after November turned out to be such a dud for me (carrying over into Dec too). I definitely felt sluggish, and yet mentally I could've pushed and ran long and this is what I'm trying to avoid, in order to ease my body back into longer distances. I also was very aware of my core and keeping everything drawn up. Also did the usual walking ->school, etc and some housework.

Ordinarily I'd have Pilates tonight but our instructor had to cancel, so I'm going to go check out the Zumba class they offer at my gym. The instructor there is a protege of my Zumba instructor so that makes me hopeful it will be a good workout.
I'm feeling blah today too. Legs are a little bit achy. Knees hurt a bit. I wonder if I need new running shoes for the gym. My outdoor running shoes are new but my gym ones I bought in June. I haven't put a whole lot of running miles on them but I have put a lot of gym miles on them.0 -
Too much stuff going on. Didn't get home in time for workout. But did go to Tae Kwon Do. Little workout. Going to do something tomorrow. I'm saying it now. I WILL follow through.0
