This afternoon I ran my usual 5k and then afterwards into the gym for a Leg workout. I burned 799 calories in 87 minutes today so back to it again after starting the week feeling blah. I wasn't really motivated to run today and got tired at times but I kept on going and finished without stopping
@ Sherry - I know how you feel its overwhelming going into a new gym and trying to figure out what to do. Those machines are actually easier than you think if you can’t figure it out it’s just as easy to ask rather than hurt yourself or not do it at all. Glad to hear your son is getting into martial arts. My youngest sister got her black belt in karate many many years ago.0 -
Way to dig in Tim. It seems like when the "blahs" hit, that's when we really have to push through it so we don't slide backwards (I've defeated the "blahs" a few times, now if I could just defeat my growing "to do" list!). Sometimes a little caffeine & some calories before a run kicks me into gear. We have a fruit juice called "On the Go" here that has some B vitamins and natural caffeine added to it and having it about 30-40minutes before a run can really make a difference in the energy boost necessary to kick it up the steep hills. The only problems is on the days I don't have it, I feel those hills twice as much. ugh.
Well, today was an active day, but no formal exercise. I lugged stuff downtown to make a donation (wish I had taken my lifting gloves--ended up getting calluses on my hands from the bags). Then shopping, then ditched lil girl/stroller with DH and took son from school and did some shopping until son was finished with his lessons. So I was busy walking all over the city for about 4 1/2 hours today. ugh! Sadly I didn't have time to eat an actual meal all day, so when I finally did, I just grabbed a bag of chips--not the healthiest. :grumble: Ah, but the weekend grows near. yay!

Hello all, another Nia class day. It's still morning here so I still have my whole day!!
Housework day and finishing decorating, I am having a party here Monday night so trying harder than normal...lol0 -
I scheduled myself for an hour on the treadmill desk at work this afternoon, and have a trainer session after work tonight. End of my workout week and I'm pretty tired. I felt pretty wimpy at both my Monday and Wednesday night trainer sessions. I ran before each of them and wonder if that makes a difference. Looking into buying a treadmill from a friend. I don't really have room in my very tiny house for it, but the price is right and it would make it a lot easier for me to run before work again & strength train after.0

I have to admit I had to look up Nia classes.It looks interesting. It's neat how things evolve and merge into each other.
