    Happy Tuesday everyone!

I've got Pilates after work today. I woke up early (3:45 am) and couldn't get back to sleep, so hopefully I can stay awake for Pilates!

Hello everyone! Today is an off day from the gym and running. I'm taking it easy this week not trying to get overboard before my annual Physical Training Test for next Monday. So this week I am only working out 3 times and taking the other days down to give my body good recovery time before my test on the 23rd.

Taking day off, didn't sleep much shoulder pain worse, using heating pad and going to take long bath now.

My party turned out fun had my train going around tree with village lights on, then ten minutes before party all tree lights went out not to be fixed, I think I had too many strings and blew something...

gave us all something to laugh about!!

Today did not go as planned. I was dressed & packed for the gym, but it fell apart. I had to stay with lil girl so DH could take care of some (not-so-fun) work. I shouldn't complain, b/c DH had a really crappy day and mine wasn't bad at all, in comparison. I got in some walking here & there, between school pick-up, tkd drop-off & pick-up, and some shopping. With the rain, I sometimes wish I had a car or moped, but the walking I do for just regular transportation probably contributes to more calorie-burning than any singular exercise.

Tomorrow is grades & teacher meeting, so no afternoon lessons, but if there's time, I might go do some shopping. Nearly every year, I put-off shopping until school is out (and more specifically, until the 23rd or even the 24th), and then I have to do the shopping WITH the kids with me and my son is getting waaaaay too old to be able pull that off (I've had help from amazing sales people in the past who'd play with him, while I shop & have my stuff sent downstairs to the cashier for me, and then straight to wrapping!) Anyway, this year I'd really like to get some of the gift-shopping done "early" (early! ha! considering it's only a weak til Christmas).

Marla, sounds like you had quite a set-up for the party, with the train going around the tree! Sounds perfect (even if the lights did konk out. Reminds me of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, with the lights not working--funny!)

Tim, good luck with your fitness test. I'm sure you'll do great. Wise choice taking it easy beforehand. And lucky you for having it BEFORE the holidays.

Laura, hope you stayed awake for work & Pilates, and that you can get caught up on your zzzz's.

early day - took husband to surgery. No real exercise. But did do the stairs at the ortho surgery building while waiting. I wish watching people at the YMCA across from the surgery building counted as me exercising. But I'm not complaining because husbands only exercise will be lifting his leg for a while - although I'm sure there is actual calorie burn for him as rehab is hard and will make him sweat!
