Starting Weight: 167 lbs.
Current Weight: 167.4 lbs.

Checking in a day early as I am heading to Boston with my two girls and 5 cousins for a couple of days. I am up .4 lbs. today, but given the food week I have had I am not complaining.

  • That's not bad at all! 0.4 is nothing. I can only hope my week will be like that. I fear that's not the case, since whenever I indulge even a little the scale really punishes me. We'll see tomorrow...

I'm the same Anna. Have fun while away!

    Week 1 - 174.8
    Week 2 - 175.2

+ .4 pounds. I did eat quite a bit of goodies so this isn't too bad. I was really scared to step on the scale. I thought I would be retaining more water after all the darn cookies I ate.

I only got 1 lifting session in. First it was hard time wise. Second, my neck is pretty bad right now so I'm giving it a break.

Now I have to worry about New Years Eve. We are going to a friend's and they always make amazing food (they have a catering business). I also plan on having some drinks.
  • I think you both did pretty damn good if you had a week of some goodies. I also had a week of goodies (really good beer) and, in typical form, my body has really punished me. Final Xmas party is today and then I just have NYE to get through.

    Week 1: 169.8
    Week 2: 172.8 and 168 exercise minutes

    Have a good week everyone!

I lost one pound this week but for all the wrong reasons.
Christmas eve my family lost a sister in law (59 years old, heart aneurysm) She left my niece and nephew 24 and 27 years old.
So I have been running back and forth for them every day, no exercise, no sleep and not eating right. I hope to at least try and eat right starting today. I can already see more jiggle in my body, how depressing.

My starting weight: 167.2 - Today: 167.6. NOT BAD haha it could have been much worse
Exercise goal each week: 150 minutes - This week: 111, but it included a lot of 'leisurely walks' between shopping and walking around town with my family.
Other goals: Only weight trained once this week

It's nice to put this in writing because it doesn't make the holiday week seem so bad. Hope everyone is kind to themselves over the holidays and enjoys the new year!

Tugten, take care of yourself - I am so sorry for your loss.

I forgot to do the first week check in, and I gained 1.4 lbs over the holiday for a couple of reasons: no exercise, one day of zero logging, and way too much salty restaurant food even when I stayed within my calories. Today I'm back to logging and tomorrow I'm back to exercise. So my official opening weight is 178.2. Looking to be down to 175 and a "normal" BMI for the first time since college!

    SW 219.8 lbs
    CW 222.2 lbs

A total gain for the week 2.4 lbs which isn't too bad for it being a holiday week, not logging at all, and little exercise. This coming week I'm hoping to start logging again and starting to use my exercise bike.

So sorry to hear about your loss Tugten. Praying for your family.

I stand corrected I didnt gain any weight at all. I realized I weighed my self too late so the little weight gain was probably from not having a full bladder. Glad to know that I didnt gain any over the vacation

Goal: workout for 30 min, 5 days a week.
  • My initial starting point:
    Weight: 209
Exercise goal each week: 30 minutes a day during my lunch break at work (five days a week=150 minutes total per week)
Personal goal: Start moving and eating healthier. I am a working mother of two young children who is also attending grad school full time, and I have neglected to take care of myself for the last year or so. The weight keeps piling on and something has to change!

Hi dcm and welcome! You are starting right where I started! Sounds like you have your hands full but bravo for putting yourself on your priority list too.

Just realised that I forgot to post here on Saturday... I did weigh... temporary damage (from 3 days off), but back to 168.3 this morning. So currently +0.9 lbs up which is not so bad considering I ate loads for a few days.

Have to get back to doing some exercise this week... busy and lazy last week... so time to get my mojo back and get working out on my new cross-trainer!!

Hope you all had a great Christmas and wishing everyone a Happy New Year! :drinker:

  • Hi everyone :flowerforyou: ,

I'm so excited to start this new challenge alongside all of you :blushing: ...

    SW 119 lbs...

I haven't been able to do a whole lot because my Lupus is active and I'm very tired and most of the time in bed, but the minute I start feeling a bit better and have some strength I will be doing something for sure...

Taking a step at a time to reach my goal always :flowerforyou: ...

    Here's my initial starting point:
    Starting Weight: 208
Current Weight: 207 - Lost 1 lb during the holidays! WooWhoo! :)

Exercise goal each week: 210 minutes (exercised 273 minutes...exceeded my goal by 63 minutes!)
Personal goal: To exercise at least 30 minutes every day averaging 10,000 steps measured on my UP24. I averaged 39 minutes/day and 10,200 steps per day!
  • Hello everyone and a happy New Year! I hope you all had a good time over the holidays. I am back home after spending Christmas and New Year with family in the UK and suffering badly from jetlag but am excited to be starting the next challenge!

Start weight as of today 84.1 kg. Am surprised and pleased that it's not too out of control:wink: I weighed myself before I headed back to the UK and I was 83.8 kg (had gone up with christmas excesses before I headed off on holidays!) so I am pleased that it hasn't gone up too much over the last 2.5 weeks. Now to knuckle down and get back into my healthy eating and exercise. Will be a relief really, I am done with excess food and alcohol!!

Exercise goal is 3 x 60 minutes exercise per week as a minimum
Personal goal to drink less diet coke and eventually stop drinking it completely!

Look forward to seeing how well we all do with this new challenge!
    Margaret
