I love that feeling after an amazing workout!
Happy Monday everyone!
I'm on day 4 of 6 days off work. Not making very good progress with the projects I needed to get done around the house, so I need to get busy. It's awfully cold today (-26F right now) so it seems like an excellent morning to stay in the house and be productive. I have my trainer at 3:00 this afternoon and will get in a treadmill run either before or after my strength workout.
Tim how's your shoulder feeling now that you've been resting it for several days?
Sherry and Marla I hope you're both feeling better! Sherry that cold is holding on forever. Marla I hope your stomach has settled down!

^^WISHING I could have that feeling right now!!
Laura, yep, colds LOVE me. I'm pretty sure that all my inlaws think their son/grandson married a sickly girl because I catch colds that last forever. A couple of years ago I had an intercostal (rib) injury from coughing so much, and couldn't move or breathe without being in pain. sigh. Maybe my inlaws are right about me!! lol
Yeah, so still sick (what else is new). Today I took the kids out for a couple of errands, then the playground (I let the big boys push lil girl on the merry-go-round today to avoid overdoing it like yesterday), then dropped son off at the tutor, did some more errands & shopping with lil girl. I carried her alot today (she's still sick too) and got in LOTS of walking. The weather's been gorgeous and there were lots of runners at the park. (wistful sigh.) My abs have been sore and I have no idea why (?coughing maybe???). Anyway, feels good to feel sore, so I'm going to break into a plank every chance I get. I'm declaring January "The Month of the Plank" for me. I hate (really despise) planks, so I'm going to start the year off trying to conquer them.
Happy Monday and prepare to say farewell to 2013 in just a day or so!! :happy:0 -
Last year two days after Christmas I got the worst cold I've ever had in my life. It started in my chest then migrated to my head then moved into my eyes. My eyes were so bad I had to go home early from work one day. It hung on for weeks. End of summer as we were moving into change-of-season colds I started taking vitamin C every day (Airborne and/or Emergen-C) and so far I've avoided a couple of colds that have made the rounds in the office.0

Well, the good thing about having a sick tummy is I lost a few pounds. I guess once again I learned my lesson about eating too much spicy stuff. Seems I can do it every once in awhile no problem but a bunch of it and my system goes...no way!
We had a bunch of maple and spicy hot flavored nuts around house at christmas and I ate way too many and then curry on top of that.....
I still feel on edge this morning but ok no sick sick. So still going to do errands in next town over but wait to see about anything more like a walk. Hoping to be back to class tomorrow.0 -
Thanks for the welcomes yesterday everyone!
I'm doing Tony Horton's 10 minute trainer. It gives a workout plan for 10, 20, and 30 minute workouts. (They are all 10 minute segments but it tells you how to mix and match depending on how you are feeling or the time you have...)
Today I only did 10 minutes. I ended up getting Chinese for dinner at the suggestion of a coworker. That was a terrible idea. I guess I am in the feeling sick boat as well - but more of my own doing than anything else.
I hope you guys feel better. It's hard to believe this is the last monday of this year!0 -
I own the 10 minute trainer! Or at least I used to...I let a friend borrow it and never got it back (despite asking a couple of times). The flexibility of it is great.0

Today did Lean Abs plus had 14,000 + steps but fitbit wasn't talking to myfitness pal which is too bad as I was -500 some in calories. I had orange chicken from Cheesecake Factory with husband. Date - no children AWESOME! Had delicious Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake. shared it - too good. I did get a to go box right away and put half of my dinner in a box.
Husband ordered off of their skinnilicious menu and got white chicken chili. It was good.
Hope everyone feels better.
NSV bought new pants and fit a size 10! Holy Cow I don't remember wearing a size 10. They are a little snug but ok to wear in public. I swear I don't know what fit is really like. Most of my clothes are falling off hard to gauge my brain and my eyes.
Husband bought new pants too! 32 x 30. I don't remember every buying him those size. For sure not before married 21 years ago! College age holy buckets!0
