Ok, we are off to the races. I have been waffling on my goal a bit. I am eating at the 2lb/week loss level but I was going to be realistic and set a goal for 1.75lb/week loss. Then I saw that Cathy was going for her goal weight and I decided to go for it too. I am shooting for 184 which gets me just into the green "normal" range for BMI. I know I am going to hit a real wall of resistance trying to get down there since it's that last remaining lard that is so hard to shed and this sets me at a 1.96lb/wk loss rate. But what the heck, it's still a smaller percentage of weight loss than my Christmas goal. (16.5% vs 12.2%). I have noted some folks are setting goals over 20% loss in 13 weeks. I'd give that some thought over the next week, feel free to reset your goal to something more moderate in the next week, no points off or public ridicule will come your way.

Just to whet your appetite, if I hit my goal I promise to post before/after pics for all to make public comments about my fool-hardiness!!

I started my year off with kind of a lazy day. But my goal is to exercise at least 5 days a week and get 10,000 steps on my fit bit every day, and I know I can do it. Happy New Year everyone!

Congrats to everyone for setting a goal and making a plan to reach it!
I am logged into the spreadsheet with starting weight for 1/1/14....176.2
My goal by the end of the challenge is 10 lbs. Very realistic yet requires a plan.

    My plan:
    1) daily -stay within my net calories based on TDEE calculations.
2)exercise minimum 150 minutes per week to yield approx 1100 calories burned per week at a moderate exercise level (run/walk intervals with strength training)

Hi, I'm late checking in. I logged in on the spreadsheet yesterday, but I'm just getting to this today since I was logging from the phone yesterday.

    SW = 310 - 1/1/14 - my highest weight ever :(
April Fool Challenge GW: 285 I had put 275, but I realized that 35 lb in 3 months may be overdoing it as that's 4 lb a week!
    GW: 200 (1/1/15)
    UGW: 150

    January Weigh-ins:
    1/1 = 310
    1/6 =
    1/13 =
    1/20 =
    1/27=
    January total =

I need to stick to what I plan. I plan to stay at/under my calories and I have absolutely got to exercise.

How did you do the ticker for the challenge? I like the idea of that!

April Fool Challenge GW: 132 (6.2 lbs loss = 0.5lb/wk)

    01/06 =
    01/13 =
    01/20 =
    01/27=
    January total =

My plan is to run 2x/week, to lift heavy 2x/week (NROL4W), & to walk at least a mile every day! With my planned routine, I think my 0.5lb/wk is very do-able if i stay on track and hunker down with logging everything every day.

    GOOD LUCK ALL!!
