Does anyone have any motivation ideas they would like to share.
Before surgery I had a wrist band made with a reminder I got from The Emotional First Aid Kit (a practical guide to life after Bariatric surgery) B.A.S.I.C. Breath.Suplements.Active.I=Myself.Calories. I also had my starting weight and goal weight put on the opposite side.
There are many sites out there that u can use. They allow you to create your own personalized wristband. I ware mine as reminder of where I came from and where I want to be.
Beside the Emotional First Aid Kit I also read Weight Loss Surgery Finding The Thin Person Hiding Inside You. Both can be found on Amazon . I not only got a great deal out of them but also encouraged my family members to read them so they might better understand what I would be going through.
My latest book is Recipes For Life After Weight-Loss Surgery. As a Chef I can't wait to start diving into this one but being in my first month I will have to hold off.
Please if you have any motivational tools or books that you have found helpful share I'm always looking for new ideas.

As a chef, you might like the blog of another chef who had RNY. TheWorldAccordingtoEggface
She has a lot of recipes and modified recipes.
I honestly get most of my support and motivation here on MFP, and at the local support group meetings I attend monthly (in that order.) The folks I've met here have made a world of difference and motivation comes from within. It all depends on how we choose to capture that internal motivation and kick it into gear.
Your question is a great one. I look forward to seeing other responses.0 -

dward is correct. Shelly's website is a fantastic find! I read through her entire blog before I had my procedure and it was fantastic! I learned so much from her mistakes and successes.0
