Starting Yoga.

I'm basically new to Yoga, today was my first time where I've actually done Yoga over 30 minutes and centered my workout just around that. I was just looking for something different, but the one thing I like about workouts is how I feel after wards, and tonight I can't remember the last time I felt this relaxed. I'm pretty sure I'm hooked and just want to introduce myself better with Yoga, all I've really done is beginner videos that I have access to on my TV. From your guys experience what would be the different types of Yoga to try out that would be good for a beginner?

I would find a local studio that offers level one or beginners classes. If you are really serious, ask about beginners workshops or private instruction, to ensure your form is correct.

Vinyasa (flow style) is my favorite because I feel like I get in some cardio, as well as strength training and stretching.

    Hope that helps! Good luck!

I agree 100%. Vinyasa is a nice way to get into yoga because it is most similar to other fitness classes you have probably taken 9pace-wise). It is also faster paced than some others (ex; Yin, Ashtanga, Restorative) so it keeps your interest and you don't get bored. I remember when I first started, I would get bored if it wasn't quick enough because I had not yet learned to quiet my monkey mind :)

That will help you choose which one is right for you. I wouldn't take the linked test though, it's just silly.

LOL! Good article, but yes, you are right, that test is ridiculous!
