Thinking about adding creatine to my daily supplements. Any feedback?

Highly recommend it. I have used it now for several months and have realized better strength gains using it than not. For me personally, my titration point is 6 grams a day...any more and there is no more perceived benefit. One of the most highly documented supplements with plenty of research and science backing its legitimacy. Some people though do not show any improvement on creatine, so you will just have to try it out and see.0

I'm currently only consuming what's in my pre-workout. Really miniscule amount of 1g. It can help you get a few extra reps that can add up over time. I may take it again in larger quantity in the future.0

I use it daily. It has helped me with workout energy and recovery. Just be prepared to put on a few pounds of water weight.0

Thanks for the feedback. Is there any preference to pre or post workout? I’ve also read one should preload the first few days for saturation.0

I think the standard is loading for a week at 20 grams a day give or take for a week, then about 5 grams a day. Or just take the 5 or so grams a day and it will eventually saturate your bloodstream...just might take it a few weeks (some do this as it might cause some gastro-intestinal distress in some people at higher amounts). My pre-workout has 1 gram in it and I take 5 grams of ON Creatine Monohydrate after workout.0 -
5g of creatine monohydrate a day will cost you less than $10 a month and is probably going to be the best bang for your buck out of any supplement.
Your muscles fill with water which promotes better recovery and it makes you stronger so you can lift heavier and get better results.
100% creatine is awesome, cheap and proven to work0 -
It will offer a small benefit, unless you are a non-responder. If you're interested, try it and see. Creatine has no acute effects. You need to take it daily to get any benefit other than a placebo effect.0

I took creatine for a while and definitely saw and felt its effects. After X months I stopped using it as I decided to focus more on weight loss, but it worked very well for me.
I took one spoonful a day in the morning on non-workout days and after a workout on lifting days. After a week I had gained almost 10lbs and I looked/felt thicker. I had more energy in the gym, pretty much as expected, doing higher rep counts. I only drink water and lots of it so no doubt the creatine was doing its job at holding onto this water weight. I thought it was a fine experiment. When I finally stopped taking it, took about a week or 2 for it to fully leave my system (I think I had 5lbs fall off over a weekend, the rest trickled off).
I keep it on a shelf. I decided once I hit my goal weight I'll use it again to help with a bulking phase. I definitely look smaller now than when I was taking it.0 -
I used before didn't really see any effect but everything is diff on everyone just have to try it out and see0

this is my experience and opinion as well0 -
Creatine gave no effect on me but try it and see what it gives to you.0

Yep, there is a subset of population that show no appreciative effects on Creatine, but the only way to know is to try it out.0 -
I've read on Men's Health Magazine this month that it is recommended even for people who don't work out... But then again... magazines... always an agenda behind certain recommendations!!0

Do some research on it's effect on those predisposed to hair loss. It is not completely without side effects. I use it even though I have male pattern baldness because I don't give a damn and shave my head, but my partner had to stop losing it because she lost some hair. She stopped the creatine and her hair grew back.
No joke!0 -
I just starting taking it on Monday, I've been pretty bloated ever since, drinking more water helps. I wish I would have asked people who take it what brand I should take, because some people told me certain brands don't cause bloating.0

If you don't retain water, you are not getting the benefits.0 -
Am in the same boat about adding creatin to my post workout and have been reading a bit on it. Just wanted to share this link of creatin discussion. Found the posts here very useful - thanks for sharing

I've taken it and really I didn't feel much difference in strength or anything. But I have friends that swear by it. It really depends on you in my opinion.0
