Week 2 Day 3 to Week 3 Day 1

Hi there, just completed Week 2 day 3 and managed fine. I am doing this programme with my mum. I looked at the programme for Week 3 Day 1, and it seems like a big jump from week 2, to go from alternating between 90 seconds jogging, 2 minutes walking, to 90 seconds jogging then 90 seconds walking then 3 minutes jogging 5 minutes walking. I will obviously give this my best shot and just keep repeating this week if needed. However, I was wondering if any of you non-runners found this quite a difficult jump between the weeks.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Im on W2D2 and worried about the same! I may redo week 2 before attempting W3 as I have never run before and can only just make 90 seconds running.....0

I'm managing the 90 secondss alright although there is the odd time I find I am really needing the walk as I'm quite out of breath, it doesn't help that there is lots of hilly bits. I'll definitely give week 3 a shot before I repeat week 20 -
Good luck, let us know how it goes!0

Trust the program. If you have to then slow down.0

If you've completed the program this far, you are prepared for the next step.0

The program is designed so that you can do it. Trust it. Trust yourself. You're ready.
I'll repeat what Varda and rduhlir have said: go slow. Don't stop running, just slow down, even if it feels like a shuffle to you. It's a run and you'll be doing it.0 -
I thought the same but in all honesty, trust the program and yourself.
I completed WK3 Day 1 yesterday morning and looking forward to D2 tomorrow morning.
It isn't that bad and may I say good luck.0 -
Day 3 of L2 tomorrow, thanks for the messages, I think Level 3 will be a step change and I'm a bit worried about managing it but the change is good thing. Just goign to keep putting one foot infront of the other0

When I was doing Couch to 5k, each day I'd look at the run and think "That's crazy. There's no way I'll be able to run that." Then I'd go and do it.
After C25k, I thought there was no way that I'd be able to train for a 10k, so I found a 5k training plan on RunnersWorld.com (I used the SmartCoach app). Once again, each time I looked at the plan, I'd think "Wow. No way." and then I'd go and run it. 40 minute runs. 400 meter intervals at crazy speeds. Some of it was really, really hard. But I pushed through and did my best.
One day I realized that my weekly long run was 6 miles and I'd been doing it for a month. Yes, any reasonable 5k intermediate plan will build you up to a 10k distance. Crazy right? Completely unimaginable.
Just get used to deciding that the next challenge is off the wall. Don't think about it too hard. Trust the plan. It was created by fairies and covered in magical dust. It will work for you.0
