Breathing help

Hi! I just finished Week 3 of C25K and I'm loving it! My legs want to keep running forever. But my lungs? Not so much. I can't seem to get my breathing under control. I've tried all sorts of breathing patterns, including 3:2 rhythmic breathing, but mostly I feel like I'm hyperventilating. Any advice? Thanks!

    Slow down a bit.

    Slow down. You need to find a speed that will let you breathe comfortably. You should be able to have a short conversation while running. If not, slow down. Speed will come with time.

    Okay starting back up going to see if I can do 2 miles tomorrow.

  • Update: I did W4D1 today and made a conscious effort to slow down. It worked! It was challenging and difficult but I felt great and my breathing was manageable. Thanks again for the great advice!
