Day off from the gym and running...0
-
Ended up with day off yesterday, pain in shoulder/neck got worse like a pinched nerve. I took muscle relaxer and felt drugged all day!
Still there but better today, going to walk, had therapy people tell me once swinging your arms walking best exercise for that.
Have good day peeps!0 -
tim, have a nice day off.
marla, hope your shoulder/neck straightens out.
Well, I'm so sore that when I try sit down I feel like a lost episode of "I Love Lucy". haha. So, I decided to stay away from the gym today and ran instead. It was a gorgeous, warm day and I ran by the coast/beach.
I'm starting back to my intention of going 10miles (from my home down to a particular beach town which just happens to be 10miles away). For now, I'll tackle it once per week. I'm going to go always to the same place where I usually stop to catch the tram, but I'm going to turn around there and run back one tram stop distance, adding a tram stop each week. That'll allow me to eventually cover nearly the same distance I want in a "there & back" way, so that I'm not late to pick up my son. Eventually on the weekend I'll do a "straight out" run from home to see how far I get.
Hope you're all having a great day.0 -
I decided on my drive home from work last night that I don't actually have a cold, I just have sinus congestion. My nose is fine - not running, not stuffed up - so it's really just the sinus pressure, pressure in my right ear, and my sore throat (which could also be from sinus drainage). So I went to the gym & ran my 3 miles and felt fine, then my trainer had me doing cardio for the first time ever during one of our sessions. Monday he had me doing one set of many different things, then cardio yesterday, so curious to see what he has me doing tonight. He said next week we'll get back into our usual routine, but he likes to change things up periodically. Got out for a walk with a friend at lunch so won't do any cardio tonight except my warm-up.
Sherry that's wonderful about your son! Maybe he's a future distance runner.
Marla sorry to hear about your neck! Hope that resolves quickly.
Tim are you excited to be going back to Germany?0
