Andrea - I've started working out a lot lately too. I'm hoping the LiteFat-to-HeavyMuscle conversion is part of why my weight loss slowed down. Feels amazing, though.
195 may not be as easy a goal as I expected. I'm almost capable of eating real meals now. And when I mix starches with protein (like corn tortillas with fish), they go down easier. Going to cut back on starches. Willing to be uncomfortable to drop the last fifty.

I was in this in November, when I got sidelined by an infection and wound up in hospital for two weeks! It was crazy. I was so sick, I don't think I really realized how bad I was until I got home and read up on sepsis! And I got a secondary infection (c. dif.) while I was in there, which is what kept me in hospital for twice as long as I should have been. Anyway, I am back and all better and I finally remembered I was in this group... takes the mind a while to catch up too sometimes!

Happy Sunday, everyone! Great to see so many people joining in (I don't feel quite as much like the "newbie" with so many other new faces!)
It was a weird week for me - crazy busy, and Monday I was *starving* all day and was really struggling to stay on track. By Wednesday, I'm not sure what kicked in, but I found myself feeling really, really satisfied and really enjoying eating healthy. It was like my cravings for refined carbs just disappeared. I'm working on switching over to a predominantly clean vegetarian diet, supplemented with a few meals including fish and lean meat. (I've got about 8 pounds of veggies in the fridge, prepped and ready to go for the week - woohoo!)
On a down note, for some reason my hip is still really giving me grief... I'm forcing myself to get some walking in, but I'm thinking this week will be about trying to work on my core strength with some Swiss ball exercises and more pilates. I need to work on stretching because I think the hip pain is related to a tendon that tends to shorten up pretty quickly on me due to my scoliosis. Wish me luck!

Well, not bad considering on Friday I was back up to 231! I weigh on Weds. and Fri. too, just to check that things are going in the right direction and so I can hopefully turn things around before the next "official" weigh in. I might just make my goal in spite of myself.
Next week is going to be the hard one - church pot luck, quilting pot luck, my birthday dinner out (Swiss Chalet - I am so looking forward to that!), then the following Monday a birthday lunch at a friend's! For church, I may just take my own pre-made plateful and stay away from the buffet table, and I have already pre-planned my Swiss Chalet day (but sad that I can't have the fries - they alone are as much as the entire rest of the dinner! Good thing I like baked taters.) And for the birthday lunch I have been asked what I would like my friend to make, so I may be able to control that a bit too if I can think of something I'd like her to make!0 -
Hi All,
As you can see I am starting late. My goal over the next 10 days is to lose 3-5 pounds. I am hopeful that next month I will start the challenge early and lost significantly more weight.
I'm glad I found this group because I need support to move out of the 200's this year. :flowerforyou:
