I love today's saying!
Rest day today. It's going to be warmer today than it has been in a couple of weeks, but just during the middle of the day, and then it's going to start getting cold again this evening. If I had the day off I'd switch my rest day so I could get in my long run today, but I came in late Monday because of an eye appointment & took Wednesday off for a funeral, so asking for more time off to get in a run is probably pushing my luck.
Going through an insomnia stage right now. It's 2:27 am and I've been awake for about 45 minutes. It's been a few weeks since I've slept through the night.

Laura, I completely understand the insomnia. I can't fall asleep unless I'm absolutely exhausted, but I keep getting these second winds before that happens and end up staying up all night. It starts with my lil girl not falling asleep, and I guess I just follow suit. Anyway, I wish I knew how to fix it.
Today I should do upper body. I don't really feel like the run before and after, but maybe if I get more food before then. The tricky part is that it might be the last pretty day before a rainy week or so, and a slim chance my son won't have homework. If that miracle happens, I'll totally skip and take him to play (poor thing hardly ever gets to play outside because of all the stupid homework). I can always makeup the workout on a rainy day.

Miracle! My son only had a little English homework (which I don't need his tutor for), so we will do it this weekend. yay! :happy: It started gray & cloudy, but we took a chance and went down to the beach and the sun came out and the sky cleared up and we took a nice long walk and played at some of the playgrounds all along the coast. It was nice and I can always make-up my workout on one of the rainy days coming up.

I have bad sleeping phases too, I read myself to sleep a lot to take mind off endless thoughts and sometimes watch boring shows I have already seen on Netflix.
They say to do nothing in bed but sleep and sex but I just can't stop watching tv, netflix or reading in bed.
Yesterday I went back to nia class before we left for the lake for my husbands bday. Did some wine tasting, only few places open on a Thursday in winter.
Today not sure, another overcast cold depressing day...makes motivation hard.0 -
I went to the fitness studio tonight, the one that I bought 20 group classes for on Amazon Local. Unfortunately, it turns out that the abs workout classes they were holding was a special class and not part of the group classes that I signed up for. So, I went to their Zumba class tonight. Tonight's class was better than the last Zumba class I attended there. This one had 10 people vs the 20+ that were in the first class, so we had room to move and dance.
On Wednesday, I'll go to their metabolic conditioning class, which I really liked the first time.0 -
ok. I bit the bullet and started walking on a bike trail walking a portion and running a portion about a mile - all I had time for. A little cold - but sooo much warmer than it was yesterday. A balmy 38. It was a little cold and it bothered my chest a little made me cough for a bit. It was pretty good. I will be doing that again. Maybe following couch 2 5k.0
