Had to cancel last-minute on a planned playdate because the weather looks too much like rain and I just don't have it in me to get two kids back across town in the rain today. We're having a big mid-day dinner shortly (smthg we can do on the weekend and reminds me of back home in the South), so I'm just gonna go ahead and take it as a rest day and get myself to the gym for my upper body workout tomorrow. I'll be itching for a good workout by then (sorta already am, but can wait).

Hope everyone is staying warm (I don't envy those low temps!) and dry and is having a great Saturday!

Swimming today! One side of the building is a large window looking out onto the grounds and it was interesting to see all the snow, including snow coming down, while we swam.

I got in about 10 minutes of just swimming until the water aerobics class started. I do two classes in a row on Saturday mornings if I'm at home. The first one is run a little easier than the second. Today's instructor was Desi, who runs the hardest versions of these classes. She has us doing planks and pushups on the side of the pool as well as really moving during all of the exercises. It's hard to actively sweat while doing water aerobics, but she gets us doing it. I really love the water and enjoy these classes.

So 100 minutes of exercise today and all in the water.

Worked out this morning and cleaned house, well apartment. It's yet another cold day and thus brings my productivity to a low grind. But hey, at least I got the workout already done. Tonight I volunteer with dogs. It's not much for exercising due to the weather, but it's an activity that I enjoy.

Btsinmd - The water aerobics class sounds like a lot of fun, especially in the winter. I like the water as well, but haven't been to a pool in years. It's hard to imagine swimming even indoors when there's snow though. I'm sure it's whole body workout.

Wow would love snow or swimming!

It's all back east@! Out here in WA state we are getting nothing this winter except up on high passes.

But I did go to Nia dance class and it was fun.

On hold with Apple again, having problem with new iPad air and this time demanding new one, they want me to repair it, but after a bunch of major restores and changing settings back to brand new I am done. Think I got lemon and for the price they had better......

So trying to stay zen in the middle of frustration, I am on hold now with guy asking manager to replace.

I ended up staying home from work yesterday. Wasn't feeling good in the morning but all the symptoms I could explain away by something else too. Was actually in the car on the way to work when I decided I was being stupid so I turned around and went back home. Ended up sleeping most of the day and by evening felt good again.

Usually Saturday is my long run but I went to yoga class at my gym this morning then had a hair appointment (20 miles away) and had a few other errands to run while I was out that way, so by the time I got home I didn't have enough daylight to get a long run in outside. The sun is shining but the wind is super cold anyway. So I will run tomorrow. It's supposed to be overcast & possibly snowing but maybe fractionally warmer. One of my stops in town was to the running store to buy a neck gaiter that I can pull up over the lower half of my face when it's windy outside (supposed to be a cold wind again tomorrow too). The sales guy was trying to get me to buy something that included a hood but I felt claustrophobic just looking at it - not sure how I'm actually going to feel having something over my nose & mouth when I run so I want the option to easily pull it up & down.
