I wished I liked it. I am going to attempt trail running this spring while the trails are still drying out. I think it might break up the monotony.

I'm with you. Find that a short 20min run loosens up my torso and legs after riding on the trainer.

    Per the rules.

One should only run if being chased. And even then, one should only run fast enough to prevent capture.

I was going to mention I have been doing a little bit of running lately (due to lots of snow and ice on the roads), but I changed my mind; I won't mention it!

I'd rather cycle! But this spring I think I might do some hill training and sprints. Why? Don't know....

Running will lower your heart rate on the bike, but you have to put in some miles to get it. Cycling is my first love, but recently after I completed a nearly 200 mile ride I have become burnt out so I switched gears to running in hopes to do some ultrarmarathons. I still get on the bike for at least 100 miles or so a week and I've noticed my base level of exertion (AVG HR) is way down. To each his own.

One of my MFP friends posted this comment. Seemed appropriate.

I'll bend the rules for one situation, and one only...
