So many things out there promoting weight loss, healthy living, increased stamina (ha ha - not talking Viagra). Just wondering if you all would share some of the "magic pills" you all include in your daily regiment.

What are they?

What are they suppose to do for you?

Do they work? If so, how do you know.

Can't wait to hear from you all.

I take things that give me feedback. If I take a supplement and it doesn't do something noticeable, I quit it. Right now I take:

Centrum multivitamin for women over 50; this gives me energy

Coq10; this helps stave off muscle cramps

Vitamin D; I was really low once and that was a horrible experience so I take 2,000 mg a day

Cinnamon; this is fairly new and I'm taking 2 capsules a day to keep blood sugars stable; the jury is still out on whether this will work for me; I'm going to give it a month and then decide.

And of course Tylenol arthritis strength, 6 capsules a day; so I can walk.

I look forward to hearing what others are doing.

My doc suggested I take magnesium for my spasmodic torticollis/cervical dystonia and a vitamin b complex for heart health so I take them. I have no idea if they are helping anything.

I take magnesium as I do get leg cramps and have major insomnia, I must admit though, I am dreadful at remembering to take tablets, the only one I always seem to remember is my blood pressure tablet, I hope it won't be too long before I can forget about that one too!

I am historically a snacker. Someone I know who had weight loss surgery recommended the Unjury line of protein powder supplements to me. I am trying the chicken soup flavor in my snacking times, it has lots of protein, zero sugar, and tastes very good. The pharmacy also carries it in chocolate and vanilla, I may go there yet! Is anyone else using Unjury or something similar?

I have tried a couple of the magic weight loss pills like green coffee extract and garcinia cambogia, but I didn't see a difference. I am really bad at remembering to take them an hour before meals, so they might work better if you were diligent about taking them properly. I don't waste my money on that kind of stuff anymore, I just exercise more and eat less and usually end up losing a pound or 2 a week.

  • I do not take any supplements - I do need to start taking my vitamins tho! I did do the 10 Day Advocare Cleanse.. today is the last day and I feel awesome! I have done supplements before like the 1DB Goddess and Bliss Go Pack... Waste of money.. I feel better just eatting healthy and working out.

I am afraid I have never been a big believer in pills (unless they are prescribed by a doctor). I get everything I need from the food I eat. I make sure I have plenty of fruit and veggies in my diet and also protein, calcium etc.

I am not taking any pills at all.
  • I tried all those things Dr Oz was talking about on his show. None of that stuff works, he must get a kickback for showing those things on his show. These are the vitamins I take daily.

    Vitamins

    Daily
Iron-feosol. 65mg. (I tend to be anemic so my Dr put me on this)

    Calcium -600mg

    Vitamin C 1000mg

    B6 - 100mg

    Super B Complex

    D3 - 1000mg

    Omega 3's

    Glucosamine 1500 mg
    Chrondroitin 1200mg
  • Has anyone tried this program (simple2lose.com). Saw it on the Glen Beck show? From what i read up on it its a meal replacement thing. I want to find out what kind of meals they are, tried Nutri System a long time ago and did not care for the food. Filled out a form on their website so they can contact me. Supposedly all of Glen Becks staff are on this and have lost lots of weight. His wife went on it and she was like me where she didn't have much to lose 15-20 lbs but even with her working out 4-5 days a week seemed like she gained and could never drop those stubborn pounds. She knows she was not heavy by no means wiyh weighing 140lbs but she just didn't feel good in her clothes. Amen, I feel the same way. I feel like somone stuffed me in one of those sausage casings. I want to be able to tuck my shirt in my jeans like I use to. The older I get i like bling more. My hubby bought me a few of the Swarski crystal belts and wants to know how come i never wear them anymore. Duh, how about I don't want to be seen with a muffin top, but hey look at me I have a fabulous belt on. No I don't think so, can't do it. ????

Let me know if anyone tried the program above. Thanks
