Kind of a big deal for me!

Last year I tried doing C25K. The first two weeks were tough, but I made it through. Then Week 3 Day 1 I couldn't finish. It was too hard, so I gave up. Then I started giving up on tracking my food.

Today I did Week 3 Day 1, and finished!!! I tried to jog slowly, so I wouldn't fall apart, and I did it!

I'm very proud of myself!

I found that I had to slow down in order to suceed. I was trying to run at 5.0 and failing miserably, and miserable the whole time I was doing it. Then I spent time on a treadmill next to my trainer (who hates cardio), and she was going at 4.2 and just prancing along, so I slowed my pace down to, and VOILA, I could finally do it. (still totally intimidated heading in to week 4, but I'll keep trying).

Congratulations on Week 3 Day 1!!!

That's great!! You can do it. Just keep pushing. I made it to week 5 last time. I just got lazy. Who knows we may all turn into runners!! :) Keep up the good work!

I can't do it on the treadmill. Any tips?

I actually like the treadmill, because it controls my speed for me. . . I have a habit of pushing myself too hard, and then burning out so that I can't finish.

I set the treadmill at a 1.5 incline and then run at only 4.2. I get bored with all cardio, so I get my headphones going, or on a good day will netflix on my Kindle if nothing good is showing in Cardio Cinema.

My goal at this point is to get through the C25K on the treadmill, so I know I can do it, and then redo the necessary weeks running outside (once it warms up).

I'm in LA, so I run outside. Plus, I don't have the money for a gym membership. So I don't really know how fast I'm running, but I do the same two mile path.

Once I've got this C25K down, I might try and run up Runyon Canyon, which is just a few blocks from my apartment.

Congratulations! Speed doesn't matter so much for now, making the intervals and keeping up with the program is a great achievement.

    Keep it up!

I could not agree more! Speed doesn't matter at this point. I jog SUPER slow on the treadmill -- but you know what? It works and it's not so hard that way, so I don't hate it! LOL Keep up the great work everyone!! :)
