I'll take it! Man it's cold out there today. I has been a week straight of -40C or colder here and the wind is insane. At one point, when I was walking to work, it was so slippery that when I was standing on the road, the wind was sliding me backwards on the ice. 14,142 steps yesterday!!
Wishing you all a good week!

Not unexpected as I've begun to eat and drink a bit more. Energy level is returning as well. Couging not quite as bad nor as intense, so yippeeeee...I am seriously on the mend! I do have a tough week ahead of me, tomorrow's my first day at the Open and there will be food and drink...Saturday is another day at the Open and well, that will have even more food and drink (and a longer day while there) and then we have SuperBowl Sunday at my house. I am preparing grilled chicken breasts and then coating them in wing sauce (so no breading, no bones and no frying). I don't know what my other guests will be bringing. Not much activity going to happen this week, although my steps are increasing every day. Next week will be the start of my full on efforts.
Kelly - you are truly an inspiration to get moving. I WILL BE CATCHING you soon on that leaderboard.0 -

Finally I got a full pound. I'm happy with that.
Great job Kelly. You're really getting into a groove now, I can tell.
Lois, I'm happy you're feeling better. Have a fun week at the Open and on Super Bowl Sunday.0 -
I generally like to do my weigh in on Wed, after my Last Chance Workout but since the show is coming to an end and I got my fitbit report last night, I'll go ahead with it today

SW with fitbit:184.3
LW: 181.2
TW: 179.0 YEAH!! IT'S ABOUT TIME!!
mini goal weight: 165.8 (that's a 10% loss from the starting fitbit weight) ...that's 13.2 lbs by May 1 and that was broken down into segments, one of which was to have me at 174 lbs by 2-3-14. Isn't going to happen but I'm getting closer.
I find it is not sufficient to eat 500 calories less than my BMR, but I need to eat 500 calories less and put in a good 500 calories of exercise. Statistics this week? total deficit: 7219 calories average daily steps: 10,053
Lois, glad you are feeling better... balance... and have smart fun this weekend
Kelly, the conditions you have to deal with are incredible. Talk about walking against resistance! You must burn pretty well just going from one place to another. Bundle up and stay safe out there. Congrats on your loss
Sheesh, congrats on your loss, too. As you get down to the slim you, there's not much left to burn off. I imagine most of you is muscle
Well, I have a few things I need to get done before hitting my exercising so I'll close for here.0 -
It's home day today! Man.. what a busy shift this was. At least it went by super fast for me... but my mind is like mush.
Not sure how many steps I'll manage to get in today. Today is the day where I drive for 8 hours to get home. And.. it's my turn to drive this shift. The roads were pretty slippery on the way up last week, so hopefully they're better on the way home and it doesn't take us longer. I'm looking forward to being home.
Light - GREAT loss!! Keep it up
Lois - I see from the pics you posted on facebook that it looks like you had a good time with the golf tournament! Looks nice a warm.. especially compared to here lol
Have a good day all! Keep steppin' :laugh:0 -
Feeling so much better every day. Coughing is almost non existent!!! Yeah!!! A few more days to finish the antibiotic and I am good.
Had a fabulous day at the golf course. Ate smart and only 3 cocktails all day (Cranberry/vodka). Got in 9,333 steps yesterday from walking to the 16th hole and back, plus up and down the stairs for port a potty visits - oh man those things are GROSS!!! But did not ruin my day...it was beautiful. We had dinner after the tourney and split some appetizers between the three of us. I was home at 7:30, in bed before 8 and I don't remember seeing 9. I was WIPED OUT.
Saturday I'll be closer, but I think my guest may want to walk a portion of the course, so we will start there and end sitting at the 18th hole. Though the weather is taking a chilling turn (I know, NOTHING for Kelly, Sheesh and others - but cold for here). I'm having to rethink my wardrobe and we're supposed to wear green. UGH!!! Still not complaining...going to be fun.
I am SUPER DUPER EXCITED to see the reductions from everyone!! You guys are rockin' it!!!
Sheesh - SUPER YIPPEE for losing a whole one.
Light - SUPER DUPER YIPPEE for going down to the next bracket
I talked to my trainer last night and I assured her I will be back in on Monday. I am going to go to therapy tomorrow, knee moved well and I had little limp, but I do feel like some manipulation could benefit...may not do many exercises, but at least he can smooth it and calm it down some.
I"ll be checking back, even if I may not be able to post again before Monday. Stay focused!!!0 -
Had therapy this am. Limited to manipulation and light stretching and walking. I feel soooo much better and I'm now walking without a limp!! Yeah for therapists!!! Ok. Just got into the office so I better get working!!!
Busy social weekend for me (and probably most of you too) so I'll be checking the board, but may not be able to post.
Stay focused and giving you warning - I'm on my way baaaaack!!! Leaderboard - watch out!!!
